Weather in your part of the world.

So noted. It’s only ~90 minutes less daylight than we used to get in Illinois, and unlike Illinois, it won’t be too cold/windy/icy/snowy to leave our house half the winter. We figure it’s worth the tradeoff.

Thats my weather forecast.

Our local weather people have issued a warning about a cold snap due to winds coming in off Siberia. Temperatures down to -30 or -40 C in places.

Additionally we’ve had unseasonably little to negligible snow so far, so the freeze-dried grass and moss is at risk of fires. So a warning for fires have also been issued.

I’ve never seen those two together before.

Strictly speaking, it is not night without end, its only a few weeks to sunrise. but that feels like forever by now.

It’s -58F in Oymyakon, Siberia - but a relatively balmy -27F in Yakutsk, so people there are taking their hats and gloves off.

Not my part of the world exactly, but it does make our 30F feel like June.
