I fired up my Wii today, to look at the new games added to the Wii Shop channel. While I still had my Wii on, I decided to use it’s internet channel to go to a website. [G4 TV, A Comcast owned, late teens to early 30s demographic, channel, somewhat heavy on Tech. Indeed, Tech TV was bought out by G4]
To my surprise, my screen with black, and music started playing. Not knowing what I had done, I clicked a “New here?” button, and was welcomed by one of G4’s Television Personalities. (Kevin Prierra, AOTS)
He mentioned that I was viewing the “Wii Portal” for G4.
Is this a relatively new thing? Websites made just for the Wii? [And it is perfectly optimized to my TV screen.] When did it happen, and who all is in on it?
Is it a good bet that only Tech Savy outlets [Like G4] would have the need to make such a website?
