Poll on the way…

As promised in the other thread, I voted NONE of them. I think Ohio State and Stanford are the most vulnerable, but I’m just not feeling the upset.

Well, I thought I had fixed the poll, but it says the poll will be open until 10-07-2013 at 07:10 PM. So to avoid votes coming in after games have started, I will close this array at Noon (ET) on Saturday.

Alabama Oregon Clemson Ohio St. Stanford Georgia Florida St. LSU NONE of them

Also, if anybody clicks on NONE and any other team, I will disregard the NONE vote for that player.

Although I was tempted to follow Oak’s “none of the above”, I decided to go out on a limb and roll the dice (and also to mix my metaphors). I’m not confident about either pick, but screw it, if I’m right I’ll look like a freaking genius.

Ohio State and Florida State.

That’s the spirit. All that’s at stake is one’s ego, and I blew that to pieces last week.

Really, armedmonkey? You’re gonna go with the Terps? As opposed to the #5/#15 matchup out west?

Just heard that Alabama DB Clinton-Dix has been suspended indefinitely. Won’t matter this week, but could become huge later in the season. They don’t have a lot of depth in that area…

Anybody know what he did?

Word on ESPN is that one of the “coaches” loaned him money. Said coach has also been suspended.

So, assuming that said loan occurred pre-season and going by the “Bobby Bowden” rule, that means Alabama forfeits all games to date, right?

This looks like a good week for chalk horses. No big upsets this week.

Time is winding down to get in on the excitement, but here’s the latest:

I voted Ohio State - but only because I’m a homer (NU class of '91). Go 'Cats!

Here’s where I’m cutting off the voting for the sake of the intent of the thread.

Going to see how bad Bama beats Georgia State.

Good luck to all!

Well, I was wrong about Maryland upsetting FSU, but at least the Terps kept it close.

Wow. That was the worst beatdown of the Terps I’ve seen since they lost to Penn St. like 70-0 in the early 90’s.

Come on now, the game was closer than the score would lead you to believe. If they were able to make a play or two in the fourth quarter, Maryland could have cut the lead down to just eight touchdowns with two minutes left. Then we would really have had a game.

Go 'Noles! Jamies Winston for the Heisman!

Georgia went to OT at Tennessee, but escaped with a win.

Miss State is hanging tough with LSU, down 28-26 early 3rd.

Miss State never scored again. LSU put up another 30, blowing them out in the 4th quarter.

Auburn beat Ole Miss, and Ohio State was down 20-23 last I looked.

WAR EAGLE! (I’m an alum)
