I dropped three pounds after the bloat went away, Anahita.

GingerOfThe North, twenty pounds!
Good for you.

It is yummy! And I’m making this for dinner tonight. Tonight is my first weigh-in since I joined last Monday, so I’m looking forward to seeing if I’ve made progress.

I did pretty well over the weekend. It was a little harder getting all my veggies, but I did get all my water. I also took the kids to Wendy’s for lunch yesterday while we were out shopping, but I got the Mandarin Chicken Salad instead of a sandwich and fries. With the fat-free dressing and one packet of noodles (didn’t use the almonds), plus a cup of ice water, lunch was only six points. My hubby and I also shot hoops for about an hour yesterday evening. I’ll be really disappointed if I haven’t made any progress!

OK - Just got back from WI. I lost 1.6 pounds this week - bringing my two week total to 9.6.

Good luck on your WI DarkWriter!!!

Congrats to everyone

Hi everyone! I don’t know how I missed this thread for so long.

I’ve been doing WW online (a little bit on and off) since January. I am, unfortunately, not really down at all. Technically I’m doing 4 pounds, but my very first weigh in was at a different time of day than the rest of them.

This week was the first time in a little while I actually completely stuck to plan, so I was pretty disappointed I didn’t lose anything. Well, the semester is over as of tomorrow, so I’ll have more time to go to the gym. It can only get better, right?

Also, if any of you are on LJ, we have a community called sdmbww for, well, dopers on Weight Watchers.

According to tonight’s weigh-in, I lost three pounds!

Very encouraging. I even took the dog for another walk after I got back.

That is great DarkWriter! Keep up the good work! I know that when I weigh in, and I’ve lost weight, it makes me want to stay on plan!

Fantastic DarkWriter!

Well, apparently it’s been a good week. Lost 1 pound. Oh joy

Guess it is better than gaining again.

Lordy I hope I lose more this next week.

Every pound down counts, Washte. I find I usually go in a pattern like this:

First week: Lose a pound.
Second week: Lose three.
Third week: Lose one.
Fourth week: PMS—kill those who annoy me and stay the same
Fifth Week, lose three…

and on from there.

Today is my WI day. I’ll be thrilled if I lose a pound. I’m feeling about as big as a whale and bloated and not at all slimmer, so…it’s Week Four for me, obviously.

Congrats to everyone for their losses!

I lost 2.4 this week, and got my 5lb bookmark, yay me. I got a pedometer and joined the walking club, now I just need a pair of shoes and off I go. I plan to get up early and walk every morning, it’ll be my first exercise in 6 years.
I also figured out why I was so hungry and crabby last week - PMS. I’m not regular so I have no idea when the urge to eat and murder will strike. Makes my life interesting.

Well done LunaSea! Have fun with the walkin’

I started following the WW program in Jan 2002 and by September I was down 60 pounds to my ideal weight of 175. This morning I was 176. I never went to a meeting. My wife did and it worked for her. The program is great and my best advice it to get motivation from wherever you can.

My favorite low-point dinner (it may be more of a guy thing or I may just be a sexist)

2 slices light bread
1/2 can wolf brand turkey chili (with or w/o beans)
2 fat free wienies
mustard, onions, relish as desired

I toast the bread. Slice the wienies into thirds lengthwise and cook them in the toaster oven. Put the wienies on the bread. Pour on the chili and finish in microwave. Add mustard, etc. I think it comes out to 5 points and is very filling. If you have to have something with it, 15 fat free Pringles is (are?) 1 point.

Good luck to all.

Thanks for the recipe KRM. May give it a try as I love chili-dogs.

My mom just sent this taco soup recipe. Looks yummy. To those of us in Europe some of the ingredients may be difficult to get but for you in the US, easy peasy lemon squeezy

Taco Soup:
1 lb ground turkey,
1 lg onion chopped
1 lg can kidney beans,
1 cup fat free refried beans,
1 can Mexican style chili beans,
1- 16oz can of corn,
1 -16oz can of chopped tomatoes,
1-16oz can tomato sauce,
1/2 can water,
1-5oz can chilies,
1 package taco seasoning,
1 package Hidden Valley Ranch.

In large pot brown the turkey with chopped onion.
Add remaining ingredients.
Simmer 30 min.

Enjoy! 1 cup=2 points

Two more pounds lost for me. So that is 17 in total.

However
Not only is it a bank holiday weekend, but it is my birthday.
So I am off for a four day weekend with some mates where Points will not be counted, and once the tenth gin has been consumed, nothing else will be counted either!!!

I couldn’t possibly put 17 pounds back on in four days, could I?

Well done!

Have a happy birfday

Does anyone know how exercise modifies the points?

Back when I first did this a few years ago, I had all the little booklets. But then I pretty much memorized everything, so I gave them away to someone else who was interested. The problem is that I wasn’t exercising back then, so I never paid attention to that part. Now I’m jogging regularly and don’t know if I get points for it or what.

Jogging a 13 minute mile will get you 2 points per 15 minutes or 4 for 30 minutes.

Walking a brisk 15 minute mile earns you 1.5 points for 15 minutes and 3 for 30.

These are according to the UK booklet, so hopefully one of the US Dopers can verify these earned points.

If there are any more exercises you’d like points for, just holler.

Welcome to the thread

I have a points slider for activity. I’d be happy to help.
