Great. We have a whole boardful of people who wish they were headline writers for the New York Post, it seems. OTOH the folks actually holding down that job at the Post and the Daily News must be thanking Heaven for Weiner this week (he would not be much better off if he pronounced his name as it looks from the spelling, “whiner” instead of “wiener”…).
Which is not to say the whole unraveling hasn’t been a fascinating thing to behold (and hell, I knew it was just a matter of time 'til one of my guys would turn up in this sort of nonsense, just by law of averages). As for his attempt to misdirect by saying “ph33r the m4d haxx0r skillz”, I have to admit he had me going there for a moment. Just barely at the edge of not totally improbable for the general public, points for creativity… but immediately subtracted for inability to “sell” it.
He may survive it yet, at least for the rest of the term. But somewhere Bill Clinton must be shaking his head and sighing (or laughing) at all these rank amateurs…

uh… chris lee did less and resigned 3 hours after the story broke… atleast piolsi is gonna go after him. Sending racy emails and/or pics from my work computer, and engaging in sex chat on the voice phone from work is one of those offenses that would land me in the unemployment line “toot sweet”. No write-ups, no warning periods.
If he did this from his congressional office, I wonder what happens. He’s an elected official, so I don’t know if he can get fired, especially since he didn’t break a criminal code.
He is actually a good congressman who screwed up badly. How could he not know better?
I suspect we are not through with all the revelations yet. This has been going on for at least 3 years. In that time, he must have slipped up worse than what has been shown,. This stuff so far, is just stupid and pretty tame.
He trusted the women he was talking to on line, to tell him the truth about their age. He may be in for a big shock.
