Ok - in Paris about five years ago on TV late at night I saw a commercial with an (I’m guessing) Arab guy speaking Arabic (guessing again, but writing looked Arabic) that involved:
- some sort of game board where things appeared (this part my memory is vague) and there was matching of items (that may have been word or symbols). Think Candy Crush, but involved I think money and cell phones to some extent.
- There were prizes and my guess was (from words that were in English) that it involved some sort of SMS gambling type thing were you texted a number and had a chance to win money.
- It was over the top with the excitement and for lack of a better term - bling.
- The guy had a sword
- there may have been ridiculous music and/or singing as well
- I don’t think it was a local channel, but may have been on sky or something like that
- I found it vaguely amusing - almost like a screen saver
- I kind of got the idea they were trying to trick you into believing you were controlling stuff in real time or something within the commercial. I am not sure, as I was more relying on body-language and what not.
Anyone have any idea what I am talking about? I think it was almost like an infomercial and went on for sometime. I have never seen anything like it before or since.
I was hoping there was a YouTube clip somewhere, but my memory is a little vague and I wouldn’t even know what to search for.
