I have been having a weird problem with the backspace key reversing itself. It happens in both Windows Explorer and Firefox so it’s not application specific. It happens with both mouse and keyboard.
Basically if I go back in a browser, it will automatically reverse itself after a few seconds. Same thing in Windows.
I am guessing it’s some kind of malaware but anyone knows what it could be and how I could remove it?
When you say that it “happens with both mouse and keyboard,” I’m forced to assume that by “backspace key” you actually mean the “back button” in the browser? The backspace key is the key on the keyboard labeled “backspace.”
Some web pages automatically forward you to a different page, and if you hit the back button to get to them, they’ll just send you forward again. Click on the tiny little down arrow next to the back button (or in Firefox, you may right click on the back button) and instead of backing up one page, skip back two or more and you’ll avoid this.
Yes you are right. I meant back button instead of backspace though “backspace” is the keyboard shortcut for the back button in Firefox. At first I thought it was a mouse problem but it happens even when I use the keyboard to move back.
I tried your solution but it doesn’t work and I still automatically go forward. Also it happens to me even in Windows Explorer so it’s not just a web thing. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.
