Vote Meeko

My PM was specific. It said that we win when all the Crimson Thorns are dead. So either Meeko is a CT trying a risky gambit, or he’s a third party who didn’t know about the town’s win condition. Either way, he needs to go.

Actually, let me get more specific. What did Cat vote for me for? What is he accusing me of? Voting when I find someone suspicious on Day 1.

Damn. He’s right, I really shouldn’t have done that.

Now, he can say what he likes as to my motivation, that’s a subjective sort of thing. I thought I was making it clear when I moved my vote the reasons for the move and when my opinion changed and how those opinions shifted between votes. He says I didn’t. He thinks it indicates a scummy pattern, and I think he’s full of shit.

All of this has been said in game already, did I really need to reitterate it?

I didn’t think so, but clearly there are some people who aren’t paying that much attention. :looks at Oredigger:

You are either VERY suggestable, or you are looking for reasons to vote for me when currently there aren’t any. I don’t think there were any yesterDay either, but then I think you are scum so…

Pede…think about this. If he was a third party who didn’t know about the town’s win condition do you really think he would advertise it that way?

Meeko, you want to claim a power role now or are you going to wait until after you are certain the scum have put together the pieces I just did?

Huh, I must have accidentally hit the multiquote, sorry about that.
Preview is my friend.

Here ya go all of the post number referenced nice and handy for you, not to mention a nice summery.

It’s not really the voting of the person that you find suspicious it’s the fact that by your own posts your final vote for the day was on the person you found third most suspicious. Now why don’t you want the person you think is most likely scum to be the one hung? My personal theory is that you’re laying ground work so that later in the game you can jump back on a townie whenever another case comes up against them.

What, you think the town power roles have a different win condition?

Town, read the following carefully:

**
This is very interesting indeed Pede.**

My Role doesn’t mention the word “** Win **” at all.

My claim has Three lines, each of which start with the word “You”.

**
I have no problem with verifying my role, by means of “handshaking” or otherwise verifying the 19th word of the second line, or anything else.
**
But Pede, you are over reaching here. Way Over reaching here. I think I’m on to you, and you are squriming.

Vote Pede

**Actually, I will do just the opposite.
For all you know, I am a Vanilla Townie.
**

As I said by that point I thought it was understood that I no longer found Tom most suspicious and that FS was the most suspicious person on my list. It’s how the Day ended, which isn’t something I can help but I don’t really care all that much either. The person I found most suspicious got lynched, and I don’t think anyone is under any illusion that that was who I found to be most suspicious. I found you to be a close runner up for second. There is almost certainly more than one scum in the game, I don’t see anything wrong with trying to shine a light on more than one person a Day.

Fuck. I fucked that one up.

Well, I might as well claim. I am the town inventor. I have a slew of powers one of which includes stopping the Day’s lynch. If you all want to lynch me to verify my claim I can do that. I would rather not go into the rest of my powers if I don’t have to as I don’t see any advantage for the town to have me detail them.

I can use one power per Day/Night cycle. Last Night I tracked Boozy who did nothing, so is likely not a town power role.

I have no win condition listed in my PM but was told that I am town. I assumed that all the vanilla would have the same win condition listed so I figured when Meeko asked about the win condition he was in the same boat as me. Bad assumptions on my part, I wasn’t thinking it through. Sorry about that.

Snipped.

I am taking what you say at face value for now NAF.

**
Where does that put you with Pede saying that his pm had the word “win” in it?**

I think it means that Mahaloth didn’t use stock language when detailing the win condition. I commend him for that, as it’s a great way to avoid game-breaking handshakes (for more on the practice of handshakes, see this game, in which a lot of time is spent discussing the issue).

Funny. I thought I was asking NAF.

You know Pede, it’s the little things here, that just don’t add up for me.

1.** You vote for me FIRST then you state your reasons.** Are we really that eager to get me out of here? Even after I have more or less proved myself?

2.Then, you use the word “specific” , But you later state that Mahaloth is not using “stock” roles. If you know this to be a tactic (Which, apparently, you do) you think you would have used better words when you specifically said “specific”. You can not use such words, and not expect people to hold you to it.

  1. Third party? Mahaloth has not stated one way or the other, but, when it comes to painting me in a negative light, you are very fast to shop around for this idea. Unless you want to claim something?

4."" Either way, he needs to go “”. This one has multiple issues

A. Why not tell me how you really feel about me? Or is that too OOG for you? [I doubt it.] Play this game, not previous MAFIA games, or the little experience you and I have out of MAFIA.

B. I have offered a way to verify that I am Town. You still have not unvoted me. **I would vote for you again, if I could. **

C. **The entire phrase is not Pro Town at all. AT ALL. **

D. I would bet, that if I was on to the right things “Either way, he needs to go” would be close to exactly what you need to say to start a bandwagon on me.
**
No no, I think I’m good here. I think I am real good here. **

Not the best assumption. A pro-town role blocker, mason, or vig (with his head not up his ass) would do nothing, as well. Not that I’m claiming to be anything, but it’s best to clarify this sort of thing.

Like I said, likely not. I didn’t say it was impossible.

Out of curiosity, pede, what IS your win condition? I don’t normally like to metagame, but **Mahaloth **has missed details like this before and I would like to take one exchange of views to see if a vanilla handshake is possible.

Sufficient will be the fourth word of the second sentence–this way, if it’s similar enough to handshake, we have a chance.

Z, do you want me to answer this, or is it for Pede only?

Meeko points out my idiocy of phrasing. If you are vanilla, feel free to answer my question in #537. Or not.

Well, ok if you want to call it that, go ahead. I claim Noob for my part.

It seems to me, that this is a limited time offer, I mean, how many people can we verify as town this way? Wont we have people copying off of others?
