Weird Wild West Mafia/Werewolf/Psychopath

Spammy me, but basically, I don’t want to waste time discussing this. I just want to see if it’s possible quickly and without a lot of hijacking the thread.

Z, do I need to confirm for you?

or is my second line, 19th word challenge ok for you?

Well, Meeko, the first pass using one word is just a filter to see if it’s possible at all. that’s why I’m not saying “post your win condition” or “your whole PM”, y’know? If it seems workable at all we’ll have to all do it at a specific time and we’ll have to take it with whatever salt seems appropriate based on timings.

Ok, I will wait for things to finalize here then. I think I have done enough on my end, for now, if handshaking is possible.

Aside: based on your proposed challenge, we have very different PMs.

This might be a problem then.

But, as the challenge to Pede is still out, I will wait for him to answer. I’m obviously curious, as I have a vote out on him, what he says could change my vote.

Z : Do you have a nine letter word in yours?

If it does, your close enough to mine.

**NETA:**close enough to my challenge word.

**I’ve tried to answer you, most of the time, but I didn’t understand at least one of your questions this morning and I’ve not had internet most of the day.

Is there something you want to know that you think I’ll answer?**

Woha, I didnt mean it like that at all.
If I were to ask, and I am not asking currently…

Would you answer on what the Town’s Wincon is, and what Scum’s Wincon is?

Um…I’ve voted first and explained later, explained then voted, and explained, voted and explained some more at various times. It’s not indicative of anything.

When I voted for you, I thought Mahaloth was using stock language. When NAF intervened and you protested, I realized that he probably hadn’t.

Third parties are really not all that rare. Given that Mahaloth hasn’t said anything about them, they’re a distinct possibility. And given that you were talking about there being no Crimson Thorns, and my win con saying that we need to eliminate the Crimson Thorns, the logical assumption is that you are neither town (don’t share my win con) or scum (not a Crimson Thorn). That leaves third party.

What the hell?! I supported you, you know. I denounced those trying to push you out for personal reasons. I am offended that you would insinuate that. I said that you need to go because at the time I had deduced that you couldn’t share my win condition, meaning that you aren’t town. (though I’m not as sure now). Meaning that you need to go.

I’m going to cover this in my next post.

Yes it is. I said you need to go because I thought you were non-town. If you are non-town, the phrase is pro-town. If you are, it still represents a pro-town frame of mind.

Okay, I know I’m going to take a lot of flak for this, but I refuse to handshake. I know it’s technically not against the rules, but I feel that it completely violates the spirit of the game and I refuse to get involved in it. As evidence that I am not just makeing up this position because I am scum, I point to the game I linked to earlier, in which I state the exact same thing. Also, in the first game I modded, I held a similar position, threatening to modkill Rysto if he was to attempt a handshake.

**
Probably.**

“” Good to know “”

I can’t argue. I won’t give you flak, either–whether to participate or not is a complete non-tell for any number of reasons.

Hello fellow Mafiauteurs! Sorry for my absence but I’ve been away from my computer since Sunday and worked 12 hours today. I came home, took a short nap, now I’m ready to jump into the game.

Bleached for mod.

Before I respond to this, I want to address something that I (as TS) said yesterDay:

This statement appears to have given the impression that I/TS had knowledge regarding roles. I can’t speak for Tom but I can say that I, upon taking over this role was given NO information regarding roles of any kind. Except for myself. Yet this is the main reason I can determine that has put me under a cloud of suspicion.

Zeriel, you seem to agree that there are powers that could allow certain players (of which I have no knowledge of) to act out of the ordinary. If I can meta-game for a minute: The previous game I participated in had a Town-aligned Mad Bomber (called “Typhoid Harry”) who had the ability to infect non-Townies who participated in lynching him. (The game itself was a “weird” game: it was called “Weird Vegas Psychopath.”) If nothing happened to “TH”, then his powers were nullified, and he was just another Vanilla Townie.

My question to Zeriel: what makes you think my role is a threat to Town?

(Continuing)

After reading through toDay and yesterDay’s posts, I had a strong suspicion regarding the actions of NAF1138 and Meeko.

NAF1138’s play was baffling at first: He seems unsure of where to place his vote, jumping from voting for me (TS) on D1.163, then unvoting and voting FS on D1.228. Then, on D1.264, he unvotes and votes Oredigger. Then, you go on* to explain part of your reasons for your actions.

I’m conflicted at this point. I have an FOS ready to point but it doesn’t sit well with me. I will continue to follow the game and see what develops.

Meeko, OTOH, has played even more erratically. To be truthful, if this were another game I would’ve voted to lynch you despite whatever claim you made. Even a Townie can become a fateful distraction and in a game like this (a “Weird” game) Town cannot have distractions.

D2.540: Here you claim a role.
D2.528: Here you claim again.

I know that nothing is certain until the EOG, and that nothing is certain about a player until they are dead. Given your actions, I might be inclined to believe you. But your play has not alleviated any suspicions I have. I’m not about to waste a vote on you because I THINK you might be telling the truth, but I’m not about protest anyone who wants to vote against you.
*I don’t normally use Night posts in my summaries, but since this involved strategy and the mod chose to allow it, I’ll use it. And I saw where you posted immediately after that— I can accept that as an honest mistake with no deception intended.

Something else that caught my attention:

D2.521: pedescribe consider Meeko to be a Third Party. I wonder if there is truth to that. Meeko has asked the mod regarding clarification of Town and Scum wincon. This is interesting to me, because if he received no wincon then it stands to reason he is Third Party. Again, I don’t know what anyone’s roles are except my own.

I haven’t played in many Mafia games, and I’m not sure what value can be gained by lynching a Third Party player. In my previous games, the fate of Third Partyers was left to Scum, once the player was outed as Third Party. I would like to hear anyone’s comments regarding this action.

I came across this after I posted my first of the Day:

D2.530: NAF1138 claims Town power role.

This throws my earlier suspicions out the window.

Right now I don’t see a need to reveal anything more, as it may be more anti-Town than helpful to Town. But given your play from Day One, you’ll excuse me if I say this could be bullshit. But I see no point right now in voting you or continuing to FOS you.

How can you be certain?

This hit me like a brick: When I went back and re-read my PM, I saw that I had no wincon either. I’ve never played in a game without receiving a wincon.

Without revealing your roles, has anyone received OR NOT received a wincon?

I did not receive a wincon in my initial PM. After an exchange with Mahaloth, I got one. Well, I was told I was pro-Town. No winning condition was told.
