Come on, Zoggie. You know better than to expect me to explain myself, right?
While it’s a reasonable insight based on the opening fluff, it seemed a little prescient for him to know. Plus, I’ve never seen the guy, and I like jumping down new people’s throats for what could be innocent slips but could be game-breaking revelations of extra knowledge.
Yes. That doesn’t mean that someone won’t make that mistake.
“It’s so unlikely” is not a defence, because I’ve seen it done. Twice.
On preview : FS, it looks like BS PI is voting for Tom because Tom’s suggestion that the Crimson Thorn may have supernatural powers smacks of PIS[sup]1[/sup].
I’ll confess that my first thought was “Deadlands?” but that’s because I’ve played the game a few times.
Wow, you remembered me! I don’t see that as Perfect Info. Anyone who’s had even a limited experience might think of supernatural roles. It’s not SO out there.
For being way too eager to lynch,

Vote Boozahol Squid, P.I.**
Unvote
** Vote Boozaol**
For two reasons.
1)Voting Tom Scud for no reason. Or at least not giving a reason until asked for it. I’ve seen that as a scum move in the past. Scum votes town with no reason, then waits to get called on it. If enough time has passed, they can create their reasons based on what others have said since their vote.
2)When asked you said you voted him because he pondered what other roles might be other other then normal roles? How are we going to get anywhere if people get votes for putting ideas out. I take that back, I said he pondered what other roles might be out there, you accused him of knowing what other roles existed.
Hello, I am here. I haven’t had steady internet access today, so while I have been able to read some, this is the first opportunity I have had to post.
As far as the ongoing discussions, I tend to agree that the Vig should go ahead and take out someone if they have a better reason than just a random hit. It certainly doesn’t have to be close to a certainty though.
I think it is obvious that the no editing restriction should be observed, but I am not going to vote Alka Seltzer based on just that.
The possible roles that people have speculated on all seem reasonable, but I don’t really have anything to add to the list right now.
The scummiest looking thing I have seen so far is Boozahol’s and NAF’s votes for Tom, but I like to wait a bit longer before casting a vote on Day 1, just to see what else turns up. I also doubt they are both scum, so I would like to see more just to pick between them if nothing else does show up.
It’s also pathetically bad Scum play to do what you’re suggesting.

[li]Vote for no reason[/li][li]Hope it gets ignored[/li][li]Hope other people also cast suspicion on the same player and give reasons[/li][li]Use those reasons as his own and again hope no one notices[/li][/ol]
Do you really think that’s what he was trying to do?
It would be way more plausible to me that you are Scum looking for an easy reason to vote, and you think you’ve found one.
A)It wasn’t obvious to me why he was voting, if Freudian Slit hand’t asked for him to explain his vote, I wouldn’t have known. And bad scum play or not. I’ve seen it done before. Yeah, it might get pounced on a Day or two later during a WOW. But I’ve seen it done.
IMO It’s never a good idea to cast a vote without a reason. A bad reason or a me too reason or even a just plain wrong reason is better then no reason at all.
Is this your way of saying, 'You’re right, I hadn’t posted since right before Day 1 started, but I am now?"
Also, I know you’ve probably heard this before, but in order for us to follow your trains of thought better, can you try to be more clear?
By that, I mean use less analogy and hidden codes and indirect reasoning. See things like “well you know what I mean” can be confusing often, because, well, honestly, I might not know what you mean. I know it can be tedious to explain yourself in detail, but it really does work to our advantage as Town to be very clear with each other so that misunderstandings oiccur less frequently.
Let’s work together this game to find Scum (unless you are one, of course, then carry on)
I have very limited access to a computer currently.
Mine kinda… well broke.
I’m online right now.
If i had to drop a vote right now- I’d hit up Tom Scud. His wierd stuff was oddly specific- why would scum roles being supernatural matter as opposed to townie supernatural ones? Seems an odd choice to talk about scum rather than Townies with odd powers.
I think he’s got something he knows that I don’t at least.
Anyways, I asked for a sub, but was persuaded to try to stay on longer. So I may have some internet connections currently but I’ll try to be around. But this week is definately shyte for me.
And I’m Pro-Anti-Edit.
And I’m against telling teh Vig what to do. But then again I believe I’m smarter than any other players- so if there is a Vig out there and I’m not it, I wouldn’t want him to kill.
And I’m not the Vig.*
Anyways, i’ll try to stay in the game.
If the town needs ever a sacrificial lamb though, I’ll volunteer for that stuff. Anyways, good luck people.
Or Am I? WIFOM for those who want it.?*
Vote Tom Scud**[/COLOR]
Ed: I meant nothing else than, I am here, I am playing, and, yes, I am trying to post less.

Alka : Why are you asking about the edit window? Why would Townies worry about it?
Tom Scud: I think you could be Town. I mean, who is to say that “”“Weird”"" Wild West doesn’t go both ways, for and against town?
Boozahol : Another player that doesn’t give reasons… Noted.
FWIW: I think the word Weird is in the title for a reason. Nothing more, nothing less.
Let us not worry about what the vig does, until we can confirm if the vig can indeed do. [If we have a vig or not, should be the first question, not target selection, or timing.]
I’m not voting yet, I change my vote for any reason, not all of them good. So, at the end of Monday, going to Friday, I am going to sit for a while.
I really need to feel out the players here some more. If ROosh is going to be MIA and other change ups like that, I don’t think too much can be done now.
Thanks. Do you see how that would make much more sense to me than, "Bolding is mine… well you know what I mean. "
I’m glad you noted it, but I don’t want to see us start a bandwagon over a silly early Day 1 vote.
I think you have that backwards. We can worry about what a Vig should do, since giving advice might be helpful and might, at some point, give out clues to someone’s allegiance. And I think we don’t need to worry about if we have a Vig or not. That might become clear later.
Ordinarily I’d be the first person to jump on Tom’s list, but I can’t actually find anything wrong with it.
NAF raises the point I usually make about not relying on power roles to win the game for you.
I do not think the Vig should kill on Night 1 unless they are somehow feeling exposed. The trick to being a Vig is to balance your risk of death against the amount of knowledge you have concerning potential targets.
I am not voting for Alka Seltzer at this time, but I wish to post in strongest possible terms my feelings on editing: DO NOT DO IT. IT IS A PRO SCUM MOVE.
Here, have read. Disagree with NAF about Vig killing, which I’m sure will come as a huge surprise to him. Just finished casting the next show, am so tired I can’t remember how to spell three-syllable words. Will rejoin the human race, and the game, tomorrow morning.
