Thanks much for the welcoming. We had a fantastic time. A couple of nice days at the cabin, and then six days of pure luxury at Cove Haven. Gotta say, though…I’m fricking whooped. Six days of of pretty much non-stop drinking, partying, and…ummm…miscellaneous activities. 
We met an intensely fun newlywed couple from Indiana who meshed perfectly with our personalities, so we had good friends to spend a large part of the time with.
I’m not sure if I mentioned it in the original thread, but as a present to kitten’s parents, we sprung for them to come up to the Cove for the weekend as well. So, since they were there with us on Saturday, we were able to both be contentants in their XXX-Rated Newlywed/Not-So-Newlywed Game (picture the TV game, but with mind-bogglingly raunchy questions). It was the first time in 20-odd years of weekly games that they had a father and mother taking on a child and spouse in the game…woohoo! We made history! 
Unfortunately, I’m never setting a drink on my in-law’s coffee table the same way again, now that I know what they’ve done on it. :eek:
So, to recap, Poconos good, being back in the real world bad. I’m just thankful that this year I had the forsight to take tomorrow off of work. I need the rest badly. Plus, now I have a few hundred new threads to work through. Looks like my day off is booked.
Why, presents, of course! Big, fat, expensive ones! For everybody!

What anniversary was this again, fifth?
I want to go to Disney World for mine and Yepmas’ fifth. That’s where we went on our honeymoon. I want to do it up right, though. I want to stay for about a week at one of the good hotels inside Disney.
I should probably open a savings account and start squirreling away for it now.

Yup…fifth anniversary last Saturday. We honeymooned at Cove Haven, and we’ve been back just about every year (usually just for the weekend).
For your vacation, you can always try what we’re doing this year. We already booked next year’s trip, and whenever we have a few extra bucks, we just call the resort and pay it towards our bill. We decided to go with a slightly lower suite next year, so the bill will be about $1,400. We call in now and then and make a small payment, and it’s gone before you know it (then we can start saving for the booze and pictures bill :)).
Oooo yeah…pictures! I haven’t put this year’s up yet, but you can see the ones from last year’s trip.
And [delusional bragging mode] yep, kitten is all passed out on the couch upstairs, too tired to move a muscle…yep…yep…[/dbm] because she went to the dentist this morning and is all doped up on percocet.

Different bridges for different situations. In this game, you want to bridge as quickly as humanly possible. Hence the name Speed Rack. (it’s basically "sink as many balls in 2 minutes as you can)
I can recally how we did in the tournament pictured, but this year kitten took second place in the women’s tourney with four balls, and I took…ummm…fourth, I think, with 10.
