‘evil loser’ is such a trite little phrase that does not reflect the seriousness of the incident. It is a phrase you can imagine Trump using about the ‘failing New York Times’ or Stephen Colbert after some slight against him, not the slaughter of children. I would normally expect world leaders to display more gravitas.
Actually you haven’t. You’ve not been paying attention and have jumped to an erroneous conclusion. You’ve seen me attack poor and unwarranted criticism of Trump.
A quick search would show up some threads I’ve started about Trump, for example:

There are undoubtedly more.
Plus there’s the comments I’ve made in other threads; I’m not going to go through them all for you.
This would be “well said” for a second-grader. I’d expect better from an 8th-grader, let alone the leader of the free world.
Why, oh why, didn’t Obama realize that the way to defeat ISIS was through schoolyard taunts? At last we have a leader who knows more about ISIS than the generals and has a secret plan to defeat them in 30 days. Can’t wait to see what that plan is. Had he started it in January, the Manchester attack wouldn’t have happened. Is he waiting for the next sweeps month?
Because the bombers aren’t sufficiently sophisticated to understand Obama’s language? These people are in every way losers. They fail at life and they fail in death.
Trump won the election in part by speaking in clear, comprehensible, language. Perhaps you should reflect on that?
Such skills will serve him well in the prison courtyard. The guy who yelled “crooked Hillary” is going down on obstruction of justice.
Most of Trump’s statements are Palinesque word salad, and he frequently contradicts himself. When he is clear and consistent, he’s usually talking about grabbing women by the pussy. Rather than being clear and comprehensible, he’s almost entirely impossible to understand. He’s a political Rorscach test, in which all the hate filled morons in our country can see the particular hate and insanity that appeals most to them.
I have to question whether you’ve actually heard Trump speak. The man has oral & mental ADHD. He’s never spoken “in clear, comprehensible, language” since the start of his campaign. Here’s just one example - perhaps you should reflect on that.
It terrifies me that so many Americans, old enough to vote, have such elementary literacy skills. And our education system, which is clearly failing, is not likely to improve with Betsy Devos running the show. We are devolving into a people who can only understand 1 or 2 syllable words. Sad!
Quite so.
Which is why it would be nice if Trump could learn that he doesn’t need to make every occasion an excuse to call attention to himself.
Alyhough in this case his faux pas was quite mild by Trump standards: no references to his historic wins; no complaints of media bias; no boasting about his yuge penis.
More like cracking a whiney little fart than dropping a deuce on the stage.
Sorry, but losers by definition should be incapable of achieving true evil, which requires a certain level of competency.
“Deluded shitheads” is more accurate, though less presidential.

People want the border wall. My base definitely wants the border wall, my base really wants it — you’ve been to many of the rallies. OK, the thing they want more than anything is the wall. My base, which is a big base; I think my base is 45 percent. You know, it’s funny. The Democrats, they have a big advantage in the Electoral College. Big, big, big advantage. … The Electoral College is very difficult for a Republican to win, and I will tell you, the people want to see it. They want to see the wall.

When I did this now I said, I probably, maybe will confuse people, maybe I’ll expand that, you know, lengthen the time because it should be over with, in my opinion, should have been over with a long time ago.

Clear, comprehensible language indeed. Maybe you should reflect on that?
Both quotes taken from an article on how Trump’s grasp of language is deteriorating.
Indeed, the OP seems to mistake “clear and comprehensible” with “has the vocabulary of a 4th-grader and sometimes speaks in very short sentences”.
I concede that you have criticized Trump. Thanks for the cites.
But I recall you often heaping praise on him where none is due. This thread is an example. My concern is that you are working to normalize a sub-par president. That isn’t good for the US or the world.
I think you’re shortchanging fourth-graders.
A great project for any elementary school teachers (grades 1-8) on the board would be to ask their students to write a very short speech that a President might make when arriving in a country (of the teacher’s choice). By short, I mean 5-6 sentences. Talk about the gravity of the situation, the fact that virtually everyone in the world will read or hear these words. If they need some kind of outline, start with how happy s/he is to be there, something specific about the country and its friendly relationship with the USA, hope for future interaction.
Start a thread to post them. I would be very interested in what kids would come up with.
To be fair, Trump is more eloquent and vocabulistic than most of his supporters.
When people listen to speeches, most do not listen to the whole thing. They here the beginning, then drift off, then they hear some catch phrases or words that catch their attention, and they notice the words immediately following. When the speech is coming to an end, people will pay a bit of attention to the big finish.
If you aren’t actually paying any attention to what it is that Trump is saying, but instead, just letting the cadence of his slick sales pitch wash over you, while being pulled back in from time to time by familiar concepts, then Trump could actually seem a good speaker.
If you actually are capable of paying attention to the bile that spews out of his mouth, then you realize that he is not.
The people actually in Daesh largely don’t understand ENGLISH. The nuances of different English insults aren’t going to mean anything to them.
As to the nuts in the English-speaking word who conduct these attacks, they aren’t listening.

That was twelve years ago. Trump’s linguistic skills have deteriorated over time; he was much more verbose and coherent in 2005, and in turn much more coherent in years before. If you listen to an interview with him back in the day he sounds like an asshole, but like a reasonably bright asshole.
Well, don’t go feeling you need to concede too much.
The last two of Quartz’s own cites are of him suggesting that people need to lay off poor Mr.Twump.
