Howdy from da cave. I am here for a bit then headed over to the church house to begin prep for fish ‘n chips. I have to get the filets cut into strips. ICK! I do not like touchin’ raw fish, chikin, or meat, so da bear is thankful for disposable gloves. ICK! Since the one who usually does this is the one in the horsepistol I shall because I must. ICK! Plus there’s other stuff that needs doin’.

I’ve been there, town population probably goes up at least 10x for Feb 2nd, & that’s when it falls on a weekday - 20x on a weekend. Yeah, they’re going to kill off their sole tourism source. Besides, they better be careful, I think groundhogs outnumber people out there.
Imma not gonna say it’s rural out there, but I worked with someone, who’s now early 30’s who hails from out that way; she remember’s Granmama’s having an outhouse! :eek:

I’m back from dropping my sweetie off at the Harley dealer. He’s gonna have a cold ride home - I noticed he’d left his gloves in the car. :eek: He’ll be here soon.
Higgs still doesn’t like riding in the car. I’ve never known a dog to hate the car so much! We’re taking her to Mom’s for Easter - I need to come up with something to make her relax - I was thinking we should take the pillow she sleeps on, plus a few toys. Or maybe just give her some Benedryl… 
We’ll be leaving in about an hour to find the Mexico Restaurant and dine with the HOGs. I kinda wish they’d picked a Chinese place - I’ve had such a hankerin’ for Chinese for about a week. Oh well. I’ll deal. Such is my lot in life. <deep, sad, dramatic sigh>
Howdy All!! Finally it’Air Show time tomorrow and Sunday! We have been working on this for well over a year. We sold 600 seats and that is the area I will be in charge of. There are 36 four person picnic tables, 300 chairs and 4 sets of bleachers. I will be scanning the tickets and making sure no one else enters those areas. The tables will have food catered by Hard Rock Cafe and there will be a cash bar.
The airfield will be open to the public and we are expecting 25,000 people over two days. It will be LOUD and HOT.
I will be glad when it’s over…

I know you know this, but that dog is weird. I’ve never known a dog who didn’t flip out when I asked “Do you wanna go BYE-BYE inna CAR?” even if they knew The Vet was at the end of the trip. Zelda the Now-Canadian Dog used to run back and forth across my back seat when we went bye-bye inna car so she could stick her head out of all of the windows.

She predicted that the Vernal Equinox would be six weeks after the beginning of February. She’s always right. Even if she was asleep when I went up to the Nature Center JUST TO SEE HER. That’s all right, I met the Least Weasel who is officially the cutest thing ever.
I no longer have a job that let’s me keep up with the MMP, so I haven’t had time to read all the posts, I’m just wandering through to say hi to everyone. And to say from last week’s MMP, that **Baker **does, indeed, make excellent cookies.
Got everything done on the to-do list, put “out of the office” messages on voicemail and e-mail, cleaned off my desk and left!
Packing tomorrow, then off to Vegas on Sunday. YAY!

Today I re-did the work I was supposed to have done over the past few days in class. And I had a driving lesson and I learned that my learner’s permit can be renewed. Yay!
