We're #37

Forgive the unforgivable music, but this guy gets to the heart of the matter pretty effectively.

We’re #37

That was awesome.

Where’s “Isreal?”

While he may even be right, it’s hard to be smug when you can’t spell.

I’m thinking that was intentional.

I’m willing to bet it wasn’t. The misspellings in the “talking points” list were undoubtedly to show the “idiocy” of the town-hall crashers.

But the rankings of the nations was to back up his point. I don’t think he was trying to be ironic there.

I agree. I noticed it too but in context with how important the actual issues are, I’d call it footnote-worthy at best, not worth becoming the main subject of the thread. Which of course it will be.

You’re in MPSIMS, lissener, and the “main subject” of the thread is a subject on which most of us agree.

I mean, there ARE corollary issues to that “main subject,” like, for example, “Even given the fact that thirty-six other nations have arguably ‘better’ health care systems than the United States, would you rather live in any of those, and why?”

But you shared a goofy video of some smug ass, singing a song about how the U.S. is dropping the ball, and you contributed nothing except, “I agree with this guy!”
So what did you expect?

You want a discussion, start one. But don’t say, “Look at this link! That’s all!” and then get ticked when people make fun of the guy in your link.

Nice song, great lyrics, good points.
I give it a nine!

I thought the music was pretty good, actually.

Yes, well so far, there’s only you who thinks a spelling mistake is important.

…and?

Should I have just gone with “+1” Music good!"?
There’s no fodder for discussion in this thread. So, I decided to make fun of the guy making fun of the healthcare mess.

You don’t like it? DIRECT THE CONVERSATION SOMEWHERE, and I am happy to participate, but don’t get up in arms because I didn’t just do “Me too!”

Sorry, I don’t do “up in arms”; it sounds far too energetic.

Nobody got all up in arms except you. lissener was just pointing out the futility of people who always find fault with things and discouraging people from continuing that line of discussion.

The fact that it annoyed one such person is just a bonus. It works both ways. If you don’t want people to respond to you in a certain way, try changing what you say.

Now for a real line of discussion:

Was I the only one expecting this to be a parody of this song?

BTW, anyone know the name of the underlying tune?
