A workmate of mine has a Bichon Adoptee he rescued on it’s last day at the shelter before the “big sleep”. His dog is exactly as you describe in your op Maggie. Coolest Dog Ever! According to him the shelter told him its a purebred, even if not a show dog.
the little dog isn’t on the animal control website anymore, so someone must’ve adopted him.

Hopefully Maggie adopted him, or his previous owner reclaimed him. Fingers crossed for an update and the little guy is in a home for Christmas.
I was really hoping to see an update on this , I hope Maggie was able to adopt the cutie pie !
