Well, I finally got my Scrubs season 1 DVDs today, and the back of disc 1 was scratched up terribly due to the packaging (laying disc 1 OVER disc 2 in the same folded side, rather than giving each disc its own folded side). I’ve never RENTED a DVD that was in such a visibly-damaged condition, much less bought one in a sealed package. This isn’t Deep Discount DVD’s fault at all, but it’s still frustrating. Worst. Packaging. Ever.

I’ve already called Buena Vista Home Video about it, and they said they would send me a return label in 7-14 days. Now I have to wait around for it, mail my scratched disc 1 back to them, and then they’ll send me a replacement. Why oh why couldn’t disc 3 be scratched??? I just want to watch Scrubs!

So I received this DVD last week. However, I was upset to find that the box had gotten pretty beaten up in transit.

I emailed DDD about it and attached these pictures. I wasn’t really expecting a replacement at all, seeing as the discs weren’t affected; I just wanted to see their response.

Within two days I got an email asking me if I’d prefer a full refund or a replacement. I requested a replacement. They told me I could just toss the old copy out in the trash, so there was no need to go through the trouble of mailing them back the damaged merchandise.

So there you go. DeepDiscountDVD gets my seal of approval. :smiley:

Well, I finally got a nice, clean, unscratched copy of Disc 1 of the Scrubs set, thanks to Buena Vista Home Video’s customer service. Yay, over a month later, I can finally watch my DVDs! But I have to hand it to the two companies I dealt with – even though waiting around for them to send replacements was frustrating and annoying, both were very helpful and cool about everything.
