My cross country (high school) team took 1st place today in the 4A FL state championships. We also had the individual winner, Mike Swope, who came in at 14:57. The course was 3 miles, or a bit short of 5 kilometers. This is our first state championship since the course length extended to 3 miles ('72?).

It’s cool isn’t it? When I was in high school, we took the Maine State title twice in skiing, and Eastern Maine State title twice in soccer. I still have the jackets to prove it.
Soph. thru sen. year football was league champs. Soph and senior years I was on the team.
Senior year girls’ track was new england champs.
