Hey folks, sorry I’m late. The bar looks pretty full; I’ll just grab a seat at the corner table over here. No, that’s all right, I can see everyone just fine from her, thanks.
Can I get a beer, and an order of fettucine with pancetta and raisins? Thanks.
Oooh, we can order pasta here?
I’ll have a spaghetti and meat sauce, with maybe just a sprinkling of cheddar cheese on the top if you’ve got any… no cheddar in stock? Okay, then hold the mozzarella thanks.
Hm. Any more chairs that don’t have their backs to the door? Bugger. Fine, I’ll stand at the bar then, in that cool way cowboys do it, facing the door.
It’s nothing personal, they tell me, just business. Here I am with a store to run and they start talking about insurance. They say what a nice place I have and how they hope nothing happens to it, or to my wife and children. All I need is to show a little respect, that’s what they say.
I am thinking we can end this first night early. I am only waiting on one more person to check in (and hoping that my posting here will get that person to do so) and then we can get the night rolling to a close.
So, are you telling us all to pipe down and wait to die??
Erm - I mean, wait for the sun to rise?
Personally, I think this is a good way of playing ‘get to know you’ before the overt strategy and voting come in. I didn’t know Gadarene from Adam, before we ended up here in Mafia, for instance… but now I’m starting to get an idea what to expect out of him. Assuming that that’s not a problem with the mod, I think that there’s no big deal out of it. Hopefully as the game goes on, there won’t be quite so much night-posting as this time around. (For one thing, the nights may be shorter once the night people get used to what they’re supposed to be doing.)
Or, to put it another way, this drink will make a thin soup, to be served along with the meat on the bones… ehh.
this night doesn’t matter so much, because we can just remember to start from page 7 or whatever, future nights would be better with as few posts as possible from an analysis POV
