Werewolf a game Part 2 (this time with MAFIA!)

Unvote Brewha

This doesn’t mean that I’m changing who I’ll vote for, but I needed to stop the clock until I have a chance to get caught up.

See, at work I remembered that night falls the instant NAF announces the lynching. And then there’s night – and, sorry to say, I think Storyteller is their logical target.

IOW, I want to be sure we get to hear about what Storyteller thinks we should do tomorrow, and the day after if the game goes on?

And we need two plans, depending on what Brewha turns out to be.

Of course, maybe on reading I’ll find out you’ve already covered all that and I shouldn’t have worried…but I already waited too long on a vote once before in this game, and didn’t want to risk it.

Sorry, brewha, I’m really not trying to jerk you around or raise false hopes or whatever – it’s just that the deadlines fall at bad times for me.

Or are there still 4 votes without me?

Best get to reading!

I think there are still votes even if you unvote, and even if I unvote.

Tomorrow we lynch lakai if brewha is town. If not we choose between fretful and kat. Storyteller has posted what he thinks about both of these people. However it will probably be up to us to completely decide. Probably left tomorrow:

SBS
Queuing
Kat
Fretful
Lakai.

And 1 or 2 scum. Let us hope one, but I still think brewha is town. One of that pair has to die however and storyteller thinks its brewha and I am not sure, so that is good enough for me.

So tomorrow might be an easy lynch. Or we can try to choose between fretful and Kat and win/lose it that day. I don’t know what storyteller would rather do, but if I had to guess it would be go after Kat/Fretful. Lets get this over with, you know?

Oh, wait I counted wrong. I think he is at 4 right now. Do you really need me to unvote him? I don’t like these last minute changes at all.

We have like ten minutes left and I really don’t see anyone coming up with anything new that will save brewha.

Unvote brewha.

Unanimous votes are never a good sign.

Wrong thread.

Well, that didn’t take as long as I expected. Remember when this thread was growing at a page per hour? ::shudder::

Hmmm. Reminds me of Oracular pronouncements: only understandable in hindsight.

Well, I agree that Kat seems the least likely of the unknowns to be scum (barring something popping up in the post analysis. But…you know, Brewha is right – a single beat cop report isn’t much to risk the game on, by itself.

Oh, of course we can: each true townie can trust themselves absolutely.

But, on re-reading, I find your arguments more worthy than I did the first time through. (At least the arguments up until you started positing 4 mafia and the Storyteller/Queuing both as mafia, and such.)

It’s not enough for me to try to stop you being lynched, but I will promise you this: If you turn out to be Town, I will fight as hard as possible to make tomorrow’s lynchee be Lakai.

If you’re indeed mafia (and, no offense intended, but I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope you are)…well, I dunno. Where’s my three-sided coin?

Awe, come on guys. I gave up my Thurs night at the bars so I could see the reaction when you guys found out that I’m just a townie. I told my buddies that I was going to stay home tonight and rebuild a carb. Which is true, the parts just came in today and I did spend most of the night working on it, but the truth is that if I had gone out to the bar I wouldn’t be here to see your reactions.

Of course you do. If I’m mafia that means that you haven’t been persuaded by the mafia. It makes it nice and easy and the town still gets two chances at getting the last mafia.

I am honestly glad that no one has come to their senses and realized that I am indeed town. I’m pretty much sick of being labeled the loony. I’m sick of screaming Hey lets lynch Lakai! and having it fall on deaf ears.

Just a hypothetical question, but if I turn up town, what would be your next move?

This late in the game, with the trio of trusted townies who basically agreed to vote together today, I think unanimous votes are almost inevitable. Particularly with the way the game has ended up. The single of the pair that jump ships automatically garners more suspicion.

Brewha, if no one is listening to you, perhaps you should look at the way you are presenting the message as opposed to those who are listening to it. Or you could continue to insult everyone with the tone of your posts. Your choice.

So SBS, does that mean you will vote brewha again? If so, can we just ignore the countdown stopping? Or do we see a benefit in this? I would hate to have to check tomorrow night as well. Weekends are always harder for me to post as I am usually doing something exciting, not work you know?

Well it looks like you stopped the clock. 12 hours left until dawn.

I think it would be to go after me.

So what would your 2nd choice be, brewha? My guess is Fretful.

Am I right?

Now, why on earth would you do that?
Why on earth would you say that?
It’s been mentioned several times ‘today’ that the town should vote together in order to keep the Mafia from steering the vote – and all of a sudden you are against a unanimous vote?

I’ve got a nasty, suspicious mind (a trait definitely brought to the forefront by this game) and I can see only one reason for you to not want us to lynch Brewha: because you know he is, in fact, town. And Queuing had just posted – in a way that sounds very set in stone – that if Brewha is town, you will be lynched tomorrow. Earlier you probably thought you would be one of three in the pool, and were taking your chances. But if it’s going to by you, no doubt? Suddenly it’s time to try another course of action.

Maybe if you stop the lynch, then we will reconsider and go after one of the Fretful/Kat pair, and who knows how the chances will sort themselves out?

And, as I’m sure everyone else knows, the only way you could be SURE Brewha was town is if you were mafia.
Okay, maybe you’re just a townie and honestly think Brewha is, too… but compared with the wisps of suspicions I have for everyone else, this is a whole big puff of smoke. Black smoke.

I know I said I’d follow Storyteller’s choice, but now I want to see what Storyteller will say in response to this action of Lakai.

So I’m not going to vote until Storyteller has had a chance to weigh in on this. The countdown clock on Brewha got stopped, right? And even if it gets started right away, we have a new 12 hour stretch, yes?

Let’s take a little more time to consider what this might mean.
And, come to think of it, Fretful complained about voting en masse, too. Jeez. What if it turns out Brewha was right??? We’ll owe him a lot of beers or something.

It seems too fishy. I could buy the fact that mafia would sacrifice Pygmy, but with two of them left, I don’t see the logic in letting one of them martyr himself. Which is what brewha is doing.

What else would they do? Explain to me what you think the mafia would do instead.

Not act like brewha is acting.

Well you did kind of ask for someone to do that. Kind of hard if someone did as you asked, and now you find it suspicious don’t you think?

I agree with a lot of what else you said though :). I don’t get the sentence he added.

ON PREVIEW: Lakai, care to elaborate?

Sure.

If brewha was one of the last remaining mafia, he would not try to raise suspicion against someone who he could not lynch for however long he has been trying to lynch me.

I think he would sit back and go for someone else. We were presented with four choices to vote for by Storyteller. The two mafia could have easily picked either the most easiest to lynch (brewha) or at least try to pick someone who wasn’t semi-confirmed town by a beat cop. It would not be suspicious since Storyteller presented the scenario and anyone could have said they were simply following Story along.

Even brewha could have dumbed his theory of lynching me at that point and go after someone else. People would have actually looked at him more favorably for doing so.

It just seems so pointless that if brewha was mafia he would try to ride a dead horse theory this late in the game.

That should be dumped.
