Werewolf - a game.

Mind explaining what, exactly, you don’t buy? You don’t believe a word I said, or you think the conclusion is wrong?

Hey! It’s a medieval village! Some of my jokes were only 2, maybe 3 hundred years old at that point.

Just hopping in to subscribe and say “why yes, if anyone drops out, I’ll gladly take their place”.

Seems like BS that the third person to post is a werewolf(something you made up) and unless you can show me that cite I will keep my vote the same.I’m not a gamblin man, but I’d bet the farm you are a werewolf.

OK, Day 1 ends tomorrow, right? Before I cast my vote, I’d like to hear from Revenant Threshold about which lurkers are being eliminated from the game and replaced with new players. I don’t want to lynch someone who is going to be out anyway on those grounds. Also, can we get a post count on each of the players, so I can adhere to my resolution to vote objectively on this basis? Is someone keeping track, or should I count up my own lazy self? Lemme know, boss.

Thanks!

Sorry to butt in, but for post counts you can click on the total number of posts on the forum page, and a window will pop-up telling you who has posted and how many times, not the time of said posts though.

Carry on

Awesome, I didn’t know I could do that. Thanks!

Does that mean I don’t get lynched?

Or would I have not been lynched because I provided useful information to the players, but now that I have again butted in, patience has worn thin and I do get lynched?

Thanks for the paranoia, I was just a passerby! Innocent and useful!

(I promise this is the last post of mine in this thread)

That’s it. You’re on The List.

Liking raisins is obviously worse than not liking bacon. By not liking bacon, I free up more bacon for the rest of you. By liking raisins, that evil man creates demand for raisins, keeping raisins on the market, and tempting bakers to slip them into innocent oatmeal cookies or (shudder) muesli!

You might be onto something there. A careless werewolf might be likely to jump on the bandwagon early, but I doubt you could say with much accuracy that someone is a werewolf based merely on their jumping-on order.

So the question is, are these werewolves smarter than they think I think they are?

At the moment, it’s Kythereia due to lack of posting (i’m being lenient on you, Richard Parker, but more posting please!) plus one other player who’s requested to be subbed out. If that player ends up getting the most votes, it’ll be the next person down who gets lynched.

Last count before the end of Day One (which will be 6:00 pm my time, 16 and a half hours from the time of this post);

jsgoddess - 4 Votes
JSexton - 3 Votes.
One and Only Wanderers - 2 Votes
Menocchio - 2 Votes
Enginerd - 1 Vote
Kythereia - 1 Vote
smiling bandit - 1 Vote.

Still a day to change your mind and get your last minute votes in, people! If you’re still on the fence, now’s the time to hop off, speak your piece, and face the music. Moral of the story? Mixed metaphors can be worse than werewolves. Anyway, what appeared to be a landslide in favour of jsgoddess is now a less certain result.

Confused: does that mean Kythereia’s out due to lurkers being eliminated, plus whomever we choose to lynch? Or Kythereia is the person with the least posts, so she’s the one I pick?

Uh, thanks for being lenient, but since I’m not even near the bottom of the list of player-posters, I’m not sure why you singled me out.

OK, I’m pitching a vote for Menocchio, since 1) he was very quick to jump on the “lynch jsgoddess” bandwagon, 2) leading me to suspect that jsgoddess is NOT a werewolf, and that since, if the werewolves can swing the votes, it would behoove them to (subtly) load up on a townsperson and therefore essentially get kills during the day AND night phases, Menocchio jumped a little too soon, and 3) because of this post:

Seems a little too eager to make us all think he’s a Townie.

Okay, based on the attempt to excuse someone’s possible future kibble-eating, I have to change my vote:

Unvote jsgoddess - Add a vote for Menocchio

Me too:
unvote Wanderers, vote Menocchio

Hmmm…

An interesting Werewolf approach might be to only really vote late in the first day, despite who any of their previous votes may or may not have been for, once they’re more certain that their collective votes have a decent chance of swaying things one way or another.

I guess what I’m trying to say is…I shan’t be jumping on the Menocchio bandwagon.

I’d been thinking in much the same line.

Unvote One and Only Wanderers, vote Menocchio

Well, I didn’t intend to be jumping on any bandwagons. I didn’t see Ogre’s vote change before mine, I was busy changing my text to blue.
