The reason I’ve been addressing this to Richard Parker is because he is the only one attempting to justify lurking as a legit strategy, as opposed to merely not playing the game, like Miller. Richard’s level of participation really isn’t that bad, as you point out, but it seems like he might be trying to lay groundwork for lurking later on.

Really? I more got the feeling that he didn’t see the point in posting role-playing-ish conversational posts in order to meet the “active player” requirement and instead wants to stick to strictly posting strategy, tactics and discussion of who is suspicious of whom and why.

I think it’s more fun to have the in-character-type posts myself. As jsgoddess said, yammering like a fool is more fun than being quiet.

For now, I’m going to follow my tried-and-true (aka “was right for the one vote we’ve had”) method of voting for someone who made an in-character type post containing werewolf-related humor and vote for moonstarssun.

Actually, it’s not even that. I’ve been reading every day, and enjoying the role-playing stuff, I just haven’t thought of anything interesting to say. I’ll try harder this week.

Fair enough, I suppose, given that I voted last time based on bacon.

And I know that saying I’m not a werewolf makes me more of suspect. So let’s just say that, even though I’m not saying I’m not a werewolf, I’m also not saying I am one, so voting based on what I have or haven’t said seems to be jumping the gun a bit. I’m just sayin’.

Not sure if this will fan the flames of paranoia any further, but in the third season ‘Buffy’ episode “Beauty and the beasts”, ‘jelly donut’ was sort-of used as code for “werewolf” or “homocidal monster”…
