I think his voting for **Menocchio **in Day 1 (relatively early on, by the way) was a case of misdirection that went horribly wrong. His stated reason at the time was the “third person to vote” theory, which he has yet to support. It sounds like something he threw out there just so that he could cast a vote, thinking that it was so absurd that nobody would follow him.
As of Post 232, the voting was 4 for **jgoddess **and 2 for Menocchio. 15 posts later, when JSexton tells us all to jump on one bandwagon or another, the voting had shifted 6 to 3 in favor of Menocchio, and the end was in sight.
By this time, he couldn’t back out, because doing so would have almost surely given him away once we found out that Menocchio was the Alpha Wolf. And his statement “the worst possible thing we can do is fail to lynch someone” was completely out of character for one who seems to have such knowledge of the game. He would have known that there is no way we can fail to lynch someone. I think this statement is a last ditch effort to try to save the Alpha Wolf from the noose.
Feels like I’ve only been here five minutes and am lost already. I’m rather torn between JSexton, One and Only Wanderers and Richard Parker
Carrot and dnooman raised a good point. I guess it depends on whether Mr Sexton is a team player, or out to secure his own safety. I’d already been wondering about Wanderers from reading day one. And Richard’s protests of innocence don’t sit right with me. I also have my eye on Enginerd… Actually, i don’t trust anyone yet,but if i think any more my brain will trickle out my ears.
ah, Suburban Plankton i didn’t see your post before i sent mine. There’s some good thinkers here
still not sure enough myself to vote. JSexton’s advice seems good, for instance about the Seer. But how much of that advice can we trust? And saying if Richard Parker didn’t post he would make sure of him being out or something (will get the quote if you like people) was downright scary.
I don’t know. I’m going to bed now…
Sorry I haven’t been around the last couple days. I’ve been busy sharpening my pitchfork.
So. Ahem. Gonna be another lynching soon? Hmmm?Doesn’t look like moonstarssun’s gonna swing. I guess I’ll wait and see what another day of voting brings.
Last time I didn’t vote until pretty much the last minute.
This time, I’m going to go on record voting to lynch Miller.
I don’t really have a lot of reasoning behind my vote. Just a suspicion. And since I’m suspicious of everyone, even that is pretty damned random still.
I will be out of town and off-line starting tomorrow afternoon, until Sunday evening. Do I need to vote before I go, or can I still get mine in when I get back?
Right now I’m leaning towards Miller, who is clearly choosing to lurk and not participate, but pops up instantly at the mention of his name, only to disappear again. I’m also suspicious of carnivorousplant, who hasn’t said much lately either.
I’m not a player, merely passing through your lovely little village hawking lightning rods and these sticky hair roller removal thingies. Looks like you could use one. Only a dollar-two-ninety-eight. We take Paypal.
Wow, it would help if I knew who was actually playing, eh? You’ve posted a much as Miller, and you’re not even playing… so at this point, I will have to say:
Vote Miller.
Could change if I get home Sunday and some major revelation has been made.
It depends on what the rest of us do. Once someone gets 8 votes, there’s a 24 hour countdown to lynching. If we make it Sunday without anyone having 8 votes, then you’ll be able to vote when you get back… If we get a bee in our bonnet and lynch someone before then, you’ll just have to wait until “tomorrow” to sate your bloodlust.
