Werewolf - a game.

I’m switching votes from Miller to Richard Parker.

Hey there drunky, you might want to point that finger back at your self.

Ogre not only didn’t vote for JSexton in between your tallies, he didn’t even post! Then, two minutes after you post the second tally, he votes just how you said he would.

You also go from voting to lynch a guy to following his lead, that’s a 180 my friend, you’re looking pretty damn suspicious to me. :dubious:

I’m an idiot. Now I see that you edited the post right after. :smack:

I’m still not used to this edit feature. There is still the issue of the 180 though.

What the hell does FOS mean?

We wouldn’t necessarily, but since no one has spoken up we don’t face that dilemma.

finger of suspicion.

Even if One And Only Wanderers were lying about being a Mason (and I don’t think he is), I’m not sure it would be wise for other Masons to announce themselves at this point. Then we would get into a case of “I’m a Mason!” “No you’re not, I’m a Mason!”, with the result that suspicion would be thrown on the whole group. But if I were a Mason, and I knew that OAOW was lying, I would certainly tell the rest of the town that I think he’s a liar and that therefore I’m voting for him. Since nobody new has voted for him, and nobody has come in to support their existing vote, I say we can trust him.

Which brings us to Miller. I’m still not convinced there is any evidence beyond his posting style to suggest he’s a werewolf. Of course, at this point in the game there’s not much evidence at all, so perhaps that’s as good as anything. We piled on **Menocchio **on Day 1 with even less reason, and that turned out OK.

My suspicion of **JSexton **is flagging a bit, but I’m not ready to change my vote just yet. He was very quick to unvote OAOW as soon as the Mason claim was made. Perhaps a bit too quick? There are two possibilities: He could be an innocent townie, and repentant about his zeal to string up another innocent. Or he could be a werewolf, and very eager to not be seen as willing to lynch a Mason, since that would certainly tag him as being a werewolf. Or perhaps I’m just being reluctant to admit that I was wrong. I’ll definitely be giving this some more thought.

I think we need to wait for a few more people to weigh in on things, particularly **MadTheSwine **and unfinishedsymphony, who have not posted since OAOW revealed himself. I think Day 2 is still wide open as far as lynchings are concerned.

I very much agree with this post, and will similarly be taking some time before determining my vote.

Ye gods, there’s a turn around.
i’m going to unvote One and Only Wanderers until i’ve had a re read and a think.

i guess that if someone saying ‘he’s not a Mason, I am!’ turned out to be lying, the other Mason’s would pick up on that. Unless the assumer has other non Mason’s who would be willing to lie and back up the claim. But one lynch from one side would reveal the rest of the group.

This could turn into a Spartacus moment…

i find it interesting that Menoccio followed Ogre on to the jsgoddess wagon. At the time he had no way of knowing he would be lynched and outed as the Alpha Wolf.

Lynch Ogre

only just come on and reading through the Great Revelation. I’d got to Jsgoddess’ post when i made mine (and was responding to the how would we believe them question). Forgot i hadn’t read everything yet. Not taken it all in yet, but as Plankton says, it’s still open at this point.

What an evening!

Sure. I mean that I see both of you playing the game a little too aggressively for me to be completely comfortable with you, but I don’t necessarily think that means you’re werewolves. You’re just moving too quickly for my tastes.

The Mason announcement is interesting. Obviously, Wanderers either is or isn’t a Mason. If he isn’t, I’d expect another Mason to contradict his claim. If nobody says anything, then he probably is a Mason. I’ll leave it there until (unless) anybody pops up to object. This is my first post since he made the announcement, and I’m not going to say he’s lying. How many other people haven’t posted between now and then?

Now that the Wanderers train seems to have derailed, we’ve got two folks leading the pack: Miller and JSexton. Since I’m not really that sold on the idea of JSexton being a werewolf, I want to throw Ogre into the mix here as well. His comments on the Seer’s activities earlier in the thread seem to me to be sniffing around where he shouldn’t have been sniffing.

I’m leaving my vote for Miller for right now, but I’ve got my eye on Ogre over there.

My thoughts exactly.

I am actually quite surprised at how many vote changes have been prompted by Wanderer’s claim, and I don’t think the scenarios involving how the valid (as opposed to alleged) Mason’s could or could not confirm or deny his claim (or how invalid Mason’s could stir up trouble) are being though out thoroughly.

Now I’m not saying that I have have decided that Wanderers is lying, or that he’s telling the truth, I’m just being cautious.

My vote for Menocchio precipitated the final vote that got the Alpha Wolf. I assure you I’m not stupid enough to cut off my nose to spite my face. I, as I said before, am no werewolf.

you were the first vote on him. you had no way of knowing at the time what would ultimately happen. your vote could easily have been a diversionary tactic.

To answer my own question, we’ve had posts from 14 people (not including Wanderers or any passers-by) since his claim, without any contradiction.

Rysto and Menocchio are dead (may one of them rest in peace). We’ve yet to hear from hocow, Kat, sturmhauke, MadtheSwine, moonsstarssun, and Captain Carrot. Unless one of them pops up to point a finger, Wanderers seems to be off the hook.

…which would have been an enormously stupid thing to do. Again, I assure you I’m not that dumb.

Just passing through Cecilton to say: I’ve just wasted my afternoon at work reading every post of this gripping saga! Please add me to the list of townspeople on deck either as a sub-in for this game (unlikely) or for the next round!

IMHO I think Wanderers should be believed for just the reasons pointed out. If he were lying, someone would have jumped in to call him on it. I realize there are a few people who haven’t posted since his proclamation, however making such a claim would be too risky if it were untrue.

We can sign up for the next round now? Count me in too! I have been following this avidly since last wednesday. And I used to play mafia all the time, but never on the net. I just wish I had found the game a few days earlier. I would love to sub in if anyone else has to drop, but I am all over the next game if I can’t get into this one!
