Indeed I do. What’s the verdict, Revenant? Am I in or out?
I have this visual of a hulking, frothy werewolf as a contestant on Project Runway…
I’m not askin’ in after the gate is closed, 'cause I invariably get creamed in these things.
Sure, you’re in. I’ll send an email with your role.
By the way, i’ve had replies from most people but not yet Enginerd, Kat, Suburban Plankton, and MadTheSwine. If I accidentally missed you out, please say. If not…answer your email.
Done and done - sorry to make you wait.
No worries on my part. It’ll be better when we get into the game, since the stages last a good long time and people in different timezones or with odd job hours should be fine.
Just Kat, Suburban Plankton, and the good Captain Carrot left now.
I haven’t gotten anything. Can you resend? You’re sending to meril at earthlink dot net, right?
Can I still get in on this? Email is in my profile.
Email’s in my profile–am I too late?
Ah, yes. The dreaded queerwolf.
just here to watch. please ingnore this post. it is for subscription purposes only.
Ok to Kythereia and moonstarssun, mainly because it makes for a good ratio. But that’s it, because otherwise we’ll be continually waiting for new members.
Kat, i’ve resent the email just in case.
Okay, got it this time, and replied.
AH dammit! I tried to get in on this when Improv Geek tried to start it. I don’t know how I missed it this time.
[sub] really I’m not bitter, I just wanted to subscribe[/sub]
Just waiting for Suburban Plankton and Kythereia, now. If i’ve typed your addresses wrong and you haven’t got my email, could you say?
If we lynch them both right now, we kill two birds with one stone. Just sayin’.
I got mine. Got busy yesterday and didn’t check my email.
You can put away the pitchforks now. Well, one of them, at least.
He’s a werewolf! String him up!
Checking my email right now, and I’ve got it
Ok, we’re up and running. Some people are still having a couple of problems, but it shouldn’t affect the first Day, and we might as well start now since this part will take a while anyway.
So, general things.
-
I’m starting in Day, because althought it means initial votes will be pretty much random, if we started at Night the werewolves would kill someone and they wouldn’t be able to play at all.
-
I’ll tell you which roles are in the game, because it’s the first time for most of you and I don’t want to confuse the situation by having hidden roles. Aside from the normal townspeople and werewolves;
=== On the side of the Townspeople, there is a Seer in the game. The Seer is able, once per Night, to email me the name of any other player. I will tell them what role that player has.
=== There’s also a Guardian Angel. The Guardian Angel can likewise email me a name each Night; however, the player they tell me will be safe from werewolf attacks for that Night, should the werewolves target them.
=== There are also Masons in the game. Masons are Townspeople who know each other and know that they are not werewolves. Sadly due to the throat-ripping, Masons are unable to meet at Night to talk… but they still know that at least some other people are certainly not werewolves.
=== The werewolves have an** Alpha Wolf**. In the event of a tie, the Alpha Wolf has final decision as to which player to kill during the Night. In addition, the Alpha Wolf will appear to be a Townsperson if the Seer investigates them. -
You can announce what role you have at any time. The Seer, for example, could announce themselves and say which people they have discovered to be werewolves. This would, however, probably make him a priority target for the werewolves that Night.
-
Likewise, you’re perfectly free to claim you have a role that actually you do not. Obviously the werewolves will claim to be townspeople, but one of them could also claim to be the Seer in an attempt to influence the vote. Of course, if that player *isn’t * then killed at night, it would suggest that their claim isn’t all that true.
-
You can’t, however, claim to be a role that isn’t in the game. This rule is mostly for those of you that’ve played before. I don’t really want people to get confused if you start bringing in vampires or something. Only roles that exist.
-
Because bolding usernames is the usual thing here, if you want to vote, please put it in a blue font. **Vote : Revenant Threshold ** would not be accepted, but I want to vote for Revenant Threshold! would. This is just so I can quickly skim the thread and pick out the votes from the “i’m considering voting for…”. Also, if you’re changing your vote to someone else in the same Day, please put that you’re changing it. Again, just so it’s easier for me to see and take out your earlier vote.
-
I’ll be doing some prose bits, just for atmosphere. You’re not expected to actually role-play a character. Just talk normally.
-
There’s 21 players in the game. At the point at which one player has recieved 8 votes, I’ll announce it and start a 24 hour countdown to Night. You’re free to change your minds during that time, but the player with most votes at the end of that time will be lynched (unless it’s a tie, in which case i’ll choose one of the two at random). If no-one recieves 8 votes, the Day Stage will end at one week from the start (so this Day stage’s maximum time limit is next Friday).
I think that’s it, really. If you’ve got more questions, email me (it’s in my profile) or ask in this thread (if it won’t blow your cover). Enjoy the game!
*The sleepy town of Cecilton on the shores of Dopeland is in a state of shock. Livestock across the farmlands mutilated; crops ruined; and a run on flea powder in the local shop. The answer is clear; Werewolves! And since the Mystery Machine gang are busy, the villagers will have to take matters into their own hands before the first person is killed.
The villagers meet in the town hall to discuss the situation… and decide who should be lynched.*
It is Day One.
