I find Zeriel’s claim a bit odd both in content and in timing. There was no reason for him to come out then. No advantage to himself, no advantage to the town, no advantage even to his faction. I also find the dramatically different tone of his posting since he came back to be a tad unsettling.
Possibly bad thought: For the last two days we’ve alternated between farmers and ranchers in that the town has always lynched the latter and the wolves have always killed the former. This is convenient for the wolves and it occurs to me that it would be useful for wolves to have a way to determine alignment (to better divide the town). It’s possible that Zeriel has the power he claims but is on the side of the wolves.
Ways of assessing Zeriel’s innocence:
Someone else could come forward claiming to have the exact same power (presumably for the other faction). Given that the power is pretty freaken useless, this wouldn’t cost the town much.
Zeriel could report on his findings. this tells us whether he has a power more than whether he’s on the villager’s side. Also might risk dividing the town (though at this point the wolves are pretty clearly the bigger threat than the farmers/ranchers.

EH**:
EH’s post record is interesting. He’s engaged in the game (hence nighttime posting etc) but hasn’t said anything (hat tip Oredigger77). this could imply that EH is participating in the game, just not in this thread (ie as a wolf). Not sure whether I’m willing to go there yet.
Another thought:
The last thing we want is the wolves to say “well, 2 people have voted for X and 5 more have said they’re willing to, so lets give that a kick.” Statements like “I’ll vote for any of” help the wolves because they could easily be in the position of picking which goes to the block.
