I know I’m being an annoying newbie, but when do the results come in from the testerizer? I know the vote becomes final in about 90 minutes, but when do we learn the mysterious results?
fluiddruid makes a good point, and here’s where a BB-based game behaves differently than an in-person game.
Since we have our Day 1 test agreed upon and most likely our Day 1 lynch, that gives us a full week to analyze the various posts and see who comes across as scummy, vs just aggressive. (Not that I’m any good at telling the two apart either.)
Based on the votes in post #327, the players to watch (at the moment) are:
DaphneBlack
Telcontar
Seeker of Truth and Beauty
Lemur866
And of course our veterans are worth watching. They are bound to have good ideas, and if any of them are werewolves (on pure chance, one of them probably is), that person’s good ideas will lead to our DOOOOOOOooooooommmm…
And it’s great for politics, too!

November was, at this point, catatonic. People tried to get him to move, to point out the werewolves, to at least sit in the testerizer chair, but they had to drag him in there. The chair looked a little goofy. Like an electrical chair, but there were a bunch of prongs connected to the arms and legs, and a sort of metal outer rib-cage. The sound of electricity crackled, the machine went BOOOP. Boop.
THen it flashed:
GREEN
RED
SO anti-climactic.
I guess I was hoping for at least fireworks…
Woohoo! It’s Christmas!
Or perhaps Festivus.
Unless further information shows up, I suggest we proceed as agreed, find out what Green/Red means, and start discussing who to test and who to possibly lynch toMorrow.
I figured it would be useful to help organize info from the Testerizer and the lynchings and killings and what-not. Caveats that have been mentioned: there’s no guarantee that the testerizer is always accurate, or that it covers the alignments we think it does, yada yada yada.
I’m assuming there are four possible colors: one for rancher, one for farmer, one for werewolf, and one for town. This chart is pretty much useless now, except for fantasizing about the best possible outcomes for the town. Ideally, we test/lynch scum two days in a row, and the day one scum poses as a rancher while the day 2 scum poses as a farmer. That’s also assuming that the tester utilizes four separate colors, and not 3 or 5. Guh.
But – werewolves aren’t divided into Farmers & Ranchers; only townies.
I just realized I should have voted with that fluff.
Vote november
Roast that zombie.
You mean to make that blue, as in a lynch vote, right?
Look, I put this thing together in a spreadsheet before work. Just black out those squares, or more accurately, imagine them as one square.
And if werewolves aren’t F/R, I guess that means there are only three colors (if the testerizer is accurate).
Does it make sense to begin discussing toMorrow before the wolves have made their move? The more info we provide them now, the more they have to influence their vote (and throw us off).
Newbie here, so my strategery may be misguided…but I’d suggest the exact opposite. We leave well enough alone until after toNight.
Or is that a problem in that we’re then eliminating info-gathering on our own end?
What’s the best play here?
I think there would have to be four colors; the machine gives out two each test; one color could signify Werewolf or Townie, the second color, for a Townie, could be R or F; for a Werewolf, the second color would be merely a placeholder.
I think. We can speculate more after lynching november.
Gah, I need to preview before I post. Three colors:
C1 for werewolves
C2 for farmers
C3 for ranchers
I’m going to have to redraw this whole thing, aren’t I .
But yeah, the chart isn’t very useful right now. After a few days of information, we can start filling in squares with Ys and Ns. I’m taking it as a loose guideline for interpreting future info.
Maybe there has to be six colors. Or somewhere between three and six. Too early to speculate, again.
I’m a noob too, but I agree: taking it one Day at a time makes sense. What happens Tonight greatly effectes what happens Tomorrow.
It’s a good effort, though. It’ll definitely help to have it mapped out when we know more. Good work, soldier.
Thanks for doing that, Ichini Sanshigo. I doubt we can be sure about anything with the testeriser yet. I’d guess there’re more than three colours though.
I also think we should wait on serious Day Two lynch discussion to avoid tipping our hand to the wolves too much. However, we shouldn’t stop talking completely! There is still plenty to discuss.
vote november
Since the test has been complete, I am moving my vote for Today:
