Being mute until toMorrow will also be rather…dull
I think we can find a way to talk without giving too much info to the wolves.
Asking each other questions is always a good place to go. I’ll be going back through the thread and see if there’s anything I’d like further clarification on.
I also voted november a few posts up.
vote november
Well, I didn’t pick up anything new on my reread. I still think that Seeker’s link between november and Daphne was pure bull designed to stir the pot but there are no other post backing that up. Seeing as how our hairy friends have a brain I don’t think their choice is going to tell us anything more then who they were afraid of. As far as who we’re going to test tomorrow I’d like to test Seeker because no one else has really jumped out at me. I think we need to start putting our cases out for the next testing subject.
The only problem with this is that it will be hard to maintain accountability between the end of a Day and the start of the next so we should probably pick a 5th color so we can track votes between Days. I’m having enough trouble with colors so I’ll let some one else nominate and pick.
Introducing more colors will make my head spin, between the four used for voting already and the testerizer…
It shouldn’t be necessary anyway, even if we discuss a lot until friday we have plenty of time for voting after the Night is over. Can’t you just say “I’m going to vote for…” for now? (Actually, you just did. That was a rhetorical question )
By the way, we’re not supposed to post during the Night, are we?
Night is fluff only. So that is when the drinking, betting and cage dancing happens.
Since we’re doing the entire game in this one thread, I’ll throw out a suggestion
For every future test/lynch, we append the Day # to the vote.
So it might go
Day 2: Test XXXXX
Day 2: Lynch XXXX
Day 2: Untest ZZZZ
Day 3: Test YYYY
Day 3: Lynch YYYY
You get the idea.
I think it’s going to be very hard to keep track of everything after a few days otherwise
Question–are you going to be keeping track of who everyone voted to test and lynch for future reference?
november (17): Lemur866, Jimmy Chitwood, rexnervous, Elendil’s Heir, AllWalker, Ichini Sanshigo, Seeker of Truth & Beauty, Scuba_Ben, Mahaloth, Daphne Black, fluiddruid, Zeriel, Justin Credible, [Undecided] Adrian, Oredigger77, Freudian Slit, Telcontar
No, not me. I have enough to keep track of as it is.
Anyone else wish that november would show up just so we could have a unanimous lynch right off the bat?
Looks like we’re on our own then, gang. I really hate combing through the threads to see who everyone’s voted for. But maybe we should create a chart for that, too.
I always hate when people vote for themselves. It’s so creepy!
Administrivia: I have received and approved five requests to be collaborators on my Google doc. Nairu forbid I get Killed, other people will be able to update the document.
In other Mafia games, I have seen players make their own shared documents to track who voted for whom, and sometimes complete with unvotes.
Discussion:
Discussions of specific people to test or lynch ought to wait to toMorrow. We can certainly keep up the discussions amongst ourselves until then.
If I’ve been following things correctly, four people have drawn heat so far. I’ll reread the thread when I can (Sunday, most likely), and we should also look at people who are giving them heat. For what it’s worth, my Trusted list is currently empty, and my Untrusted list has 18 names on it.
(If I said that I trusted myself, would it make any difference?)
What does nairu mean?
Sorry – Nairu was the Town’s patron deity in the Mafia game I was in.
Here’s a strategy thought, following on rexnervous suggesting to lynch the test subject: I suggest we definitely lynch toMorrow’s test subject if either of the following cases holds:
Anything else, discussion will ensue.
I wont say who I’m going to vote for on Day 2 for two reasons: One, as already pointed out, it’s not really a good idea or useful at this point and Two, I really don’t know.
But I will be keeping an eye on a few players. Telcontar, you are one of those players. Seeker, you are another. I don’t believe either of you is a wolf any more than anyone else at this point, but I’m starting to sense certain patterns in your posts that I find suspicious.
That’s all I’m going to say for now. Come Tomorrow I will elaborate on my suspicions but I will hold onto the specifics until then.
Nothing personal, guys.
On preview: Scuba_Ben, I can see the logic in that. Personally I’d be amazed if the two colour codes match - I still suspect the testeriser is more chaotic than a simple colour correlation - but if it does, that would probably swing my vote.
And that’s my reasoning both ways. If we get the same color result as on a known Scum, we go prove whether that result always comes up Scum. And if we get a completely different result from a known Townsperson, we go determine what that result indicates. (Maybe it’ll be Scum!)
Cool, thanks, I received the e-mail about this.
Your plan also sounds…well, sound, for now. That is, this strategy:
Yes, thanks, Ben. That should be a helpful document.
I’m still going through the thread. So far, nothing earth-shattering has stood out. I think on the whole what has most impressed itself on me is that we have a very cautious group, including the old-timers, with the exception of Zeriel, who has made a point of how he is an aggressive player; and Seeker, who has been pretty all-over-the-place, but who, as I have said, is seeming townie to me. I’m not sure what this means, necessarily, but that’s the general aura of Day One up to now to me.
This could all change, of course. I will continue my re-read tonight and post any questions I have tomorrow.
I don’t understand why you would write that. If one of those is a wolf, they might eat you to prevent you from elaborating. If none is, you might get eaten to throw suspicion on them.
That’s two different options where you don’t see the sun rise again but where we get little and unreliable information.
So at least share your hunch before the creatures of the Night take over, or am I missing something?
I mean I have one player pinging my radar as well, but I’ve explained why, even if nobody else has weighed in there yet…
Well, with the unanimous vote on both the test and the lynch, seems like Night’s party can start tomorrow.
I agree with not really discussing TOMORROW’s vote until Night ends.
When(real time wise) do we find out who the werewolves killed? I pretty much figure after we find that out, discussions should begin.
