Sorry, Adrian. :frowning:

I’m sorry, was Adrian a Farmer or Rancher? Your kill message says farmer, but the list in post 1021 says Rancher.

I was a Rancher.

Avenge meee!!

I can see that Andrian suspected Telcontar, who he voted to test in post 887. Can anyone else find a suspect list of Adrian’s?

I’'m surprised how dead this thread has been all day. We have 'til Wed. to test.

Just got back from vacation visit to family, so need some time to really delve into what has transpired.

But my gut instinct is this: the wolf kill of Adrian is a null tell - in a sense. I think the wolves have very few candidates that won’t give anything away, but they need to keep picking us off. So this might have been a “throwaway kill”.

They can’t kill someone who is outright suspecting a wolf right now, that’d be too obvious.

I did a very quick skim of Adrian’s posts, and there really are no substantive accusations.

We have three days to mull this over, but here’s my initial take:

If Elendil’s Heir were a townie, then the wolves would’ve killed me so that the fact that I had suspected EH would immediately throw attention on EH (in this scenario, a townie).

So, at this point I have little reason to change my decision - because the wolves did not kill me (or another person who also voted for EH).

Of course, this could be a WIFOM, but we can go on endlessly down that route.

Don’t know how much sense this makes, just got off two planes and little sleep. But agree with Mahaloth - what we need now is posting, substantive posting, and lots of it.

A couple other things…

  1. I updated the Google Doc, if anyone’s paying attn

  2. Can we tell anything by the wolf voting

  3. Experienced players - we have to assume that 1 and probably 2 players on the wolf side are experienced. Living experienced players are: DaphneBlack, fluiddruid, Oredigger77, Zeriel, MHaye

And one last thing…the Testerizer

I don’t think we can tell anything from the Testerizer for at least 2 Days. It does seem that it’s basically random colors for a townie, and presumably a concrete set of colors for a wolf. Meaning, it would take at least 2 positive (and identical) tests to confirm a wolf.

So we need to forget the Testing for now, and basically choose our lynch victim by Wed at noon. Then Test them, just so we have the data.

Unexpected (note actually a rancher). The obvious kill was Zeriel. Anyone have any thoughts on why Adrian?

I don’t know…maybe me, like 1 or 2 posts prior?

This is an example of a fluff post.

Why was Zeriel the obvious kill? Why not further the conversation I had started?

Zeriel because of the power role, presumably.

I’m reviewing prior posts to and by Adrian in light of the kill now.

My post is as substantive as yours. You say that it was a throwaway kill; one that signifies nothing. That’s not a bad reason for a player to die, but it’s really odd given that there is a clear alternative. **Zeriel **has claimed to be an investigator, presumably the rancher counterpart to Ich. Since it would be really odd if only the farmer’s had cops, if Zeriel was lying then presumably the real rancher cop would have said something by now. This makes him the most innocent person on the table, which is usually an obvious kill. my best guess is that the wolves think there may be a doctor (well, plural is more likely if there’s even one) in the game and this is forcing them to be quasi random.

I’ll repeat - **Adrian **is a null tell IMHO

Thanks for the quick response, Tel. Except I don’t agree that **Zeriel **would be an obvious kill, in that the Power Roles as we understand them are really quite useless, not worth drawing attention to. Even if we take Zeriel’s claim that wolves have rancher/farmer roles, how can that power be so useful that the wolves would kill over it, esp. at this stage.

Right now, if I’m a wolf, I’m doing nothing but playing “null tells” - odds are that they’ll win that way.

Hmm. I was wondering if the wolves would go for Zeriel as well. I had actually started to suspect Adrian was a wolf! He didn’t accuse anybody, didn’t post too much or too little, avoided sticking his neck out. I suppose that makes him a ‘safer’ kill than Zeriel, assuming Zeriel is town, since he has been a bit more upfront about his suspicion.

I continue to wonder how the wolves have had the ‘luck’ to kill the opposite of the townie lynch (farmer-rancher) each night. That’s not beyond the realm of random chance, but it is pretty weird (1/8 chance at this point). I’m inclined to think that either the wolves know already who everyone is, or they have a Zeriel-like (or possibly Zeriel himself!) power. Is it worth pondering why the wolves would want to keep the townie divisions even?

We cannot afford a mislynch today! Voting patterns seem pretty much useless at this point, so it’s going to be the hard slog of posting behaviour that will help us.

I don’t think we should worry too much about the testeriser today.

Heard you the first time.

Not sure why you’re starting off on such a combative note here. I said by him and toward him.

Because I’m tired of losing.

No offense intended. Am a newbie here (for the Nth time) so maybe we still have time, but I’m starting to feel that unless we make a bold move, it’s a lost cause. The wolves (who are posting) can continue to string us along by posting “me too” or “hmm, that’s interesting” (and that’s why I got on **Telcontar **in previous post).

Convince me it’s too early, and we still have time, but othewise it’s time to be combative and to make some strong statements.

So this is my statement:

(note the color)

Vote Elendil’s Heir

Elendil’s Heir (1): rexnervous

I agree and disagree with** rexnervous**.

Agreement: I think we need to make a decision. So much has been discussed and re-discussed, we townies need to make a right call.

Disagreement: Having said that, I vote:

test Telcontar

lynch Telcontar

I am 100% open to discussion and debate.

Keeping the balance would be a strange move - it keeps us focused on the wolves, not each other. But still,

Do the wolves know the alignments of the townfolf?

On another note: I would vote for EH, but I think toDay we need to be having closer votes rather than just pile-ons and me toos. Suspicion needs to be cast firmly against a number of different players, to see how they react.

Working off the theory that posting lots but not drawing attention is suspicious I vote, for now, to
Test Mahaloth

I’ll second the Telcontar vote. We know now that him and Seeker weren’t working together, but he is still my top suspect. I think he got really lucky Yesterday when Seeker made his play, and we can’t just let him slide.

**vote Telcontar

lynch Telcontar**
