Testing this theory today, with the idea that we at least test MHaye tomorrow if it doesn’t work (I would still be interested in testing him if it does, but that’s me)
If the hypothesis turns out right, we can be sure Telcontar is in fact a Townsperson, and whoever we test in future Days we will be able to treat appropriately.
If the hypothesis is wrong, we are no worse off (slightly better in fact, since we now know we can’t trust the Testerizer at all), but will have sacrificed another lifeline; quite probably our last.
I still think it’s worth doing. Plus, I think he’s probably a Wolf anyway for non-Testerizer reasons.
Traffic seems down in this game. Come on, lets get a strong finish. We’re still missing post test votes and/or analysis from the following:
**rexnervous, Jimmy Chitwood, Justin Credible, fluiddruid, Oredigger77 **
MHaye’s theory: As I said above, it looks plausible to me for several reasons. Two universes -
A universe where Justin is a wolf: This likely means that Mhaye’s theory was correct. Mhaye gets serious town points for picking up on a wolf (see his case above) and putting forth a good testerizer theory (one which probably would not have emerged without him). We can’t accept his theory or his innocence as gold, but both are probably worth running with.
A universe in which Justin is not a wolf: Mhaye’s theory is therefore disproven. MHaye’s activity pattern in the game is therefore one of relative silence (apart from snipes at Zeriel) and making a major contribution to the testing (see his above case) and lynching (see his testerizer theory) of a town player. While there’s nothing inherently wrong with having a theory that turns out to be false, in this universe MHaye looks like a wolf.
So Mhaye’s perceived wolf status, come dawn next Day, depends on a factor that innocent-MHaye would have no knowledge of or control over. It’s a bit of a conundrum for the rest of us.
I have to say, fluiddruid is massively lucky that MHaye suggested a testerizer pattern. I already suspected fluid as being scum, and it seems that he hasn’t posted since March 13, a full 6 days ago.
I’d be massively pissed off if I got lynched while a wolf slid through by remaining silent. If anything, fluid is encouraging us to shut up and avoid being tested or lynched.
Now are you going to tell us about it, or are you going to keep your lips buttoned and try and scare us into unvoting you just in case your power is a Werewolf “bomb” or something?
Confess. Ease the burden carried by your soul and prepare to meet thy Maker. You know it makes sense.
It might be difficult to sub “him” out.
On the other hand, she’s had problems with rl interfering with Mafia games before. Shame really.
Nah, I was just screwing around. My power is pretty benign actually - I’m the town doctor. So far, I’ve been very unlucky in choosing whom to protect each night. On the first night, I picked Daphne. On the second, Tel. Third, Rex, and on the fourth, I picked Tel again. The wolves kept picking people at random it seemed, so my power never even came into play.
So, don’t worry, the other wolves voting for me have nothing to worry about.
Neither do you, so just keep your vote right where it is. Mwahahaha!
Yeah, too bad. Now you and her won’t get to flirt anymore over on your super-secret werewolf board.
See, if we suspect that there are two doctor-types (I think ped gave the role 2 different names) one for each of the farmer/rancher divide with none for the wolves, then to prove this claim wrong we need two players to come forward and confess their doctoriness.
Which would be stupid.
Super-death-activated power? Doctor-claim? Bizarre ‘just kidding’ finger pointing? Justin can’t save himself, so he’s screwing with us. “Ooh, he voted for himself, how frightening!”
Are you seriously aiming for a clusterfuck? Little late in the game, doncha think?
