The rain here ranges from light/steady to bucketing down. Inch and a quarter near me in the last 24 hours. We even heard some thunder (weather apps reported that at between 4 and 5 miles away). The cats are both under the headboard. Allie apparently feels there are worse matters at paw than being less than a foot from Buddy.
The rain down here turned to snow a little while ago. It’s very pretty but is supposed to turn back to rain tomorrow. I am not complaining about precip because Smoketober is still a vivid memory.
I thought of JtC last night because I decided to get my son a good beginner’s cheese-making kit for Christmas. I think he’ll enjoy it between migraines.
FCM, sorry FCD didn’t get his much-needed rest. Poor guy. Too bad his mother can’t see what she’s doing to him.

shoe, hope the crud passes quickly. I tried one of those nighttime cough syrups once. Blech.

I should pack up the dog crate and get it back to my friend. Unless I keep it for company whose opinions I disagree with: “Into the crate, Joe, until you stop with that stupid 9/11 Truther nonsense.” I’d be the most popular hostess on the block!

Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, had a hyuuuuuuuuuuge brunch, got back to da cave for nappage and general sloth. There was a serious amount of nummy stuff to brunch upon. I am still full. Might go have some popcorn in a bit just cause I can and I have a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for popcorn. The biiiiiig trash can has been hauled all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow and the garage door is shut. We are in for the evenin’.
Oopsie glad Bailey is all clean, fluffy, and good smellin’. Hope brunch went well.

Evening all (yeah, it’s before 6pm here, but it’s dark outside so it’s evening to me). DId manage to get outside and send off some bills and buy a few things, then decided to try the new Whataburger nearby. Verdict is pretty good burgers, McDonald quality fries, a bit pricey, and it’s much to busy right now to make it a habit; but it’ll go into the rotation. Other than that (and solving all my Sunday puzzles) it has been a pretty slothful day. Tomorrow may be more of the same sloth, rain is due before dawn and is predicted to last all Moanday, at least it won’t be snow like some Mumpers are getting.

I managed to chop two wheelbarrows-full of wood in an hour and a half. It’s not entirely dry, but most pieces are fairly light with only a few heavy ones. I moved the rest of the wood in the catio inside, and staked the freshly-chopped logs on one side of the propane fireplace from whence the former came.
