What 1980's or 1990's song is this?

What song is sung by a female solo vocalist singing “…you’re the kind, when you love, you love with all your heart, …and baby, we’re the lucky ones…”

I believe the title is “The Lucky Ones”. Any clue? I am hoping the SDopers can give me title/artist and year, ideally. OK, maybe at least put me in the proper deacde! 1980’s? 1990’s?

Thanks for your help!

It might be sung by Laura Branigan, which puts it in the 1980’s.

Don’t quote me on that though.:stuck_out_tongue:

Alison Kraus’s single of her latest CD is called the Lucky One. Is that what you’re thinking of?

The horrid Lover Boy had a song called “The Lucky Ones” in the eighties. Or was it “Get Lucky”? It sucked either way.

Never kiss an animal that can lick it’s own butt.

If it’s the song I’m thinking of, it has a very bubble-gum-pop sound to it. Along with the singer singing “Doot-do, do doot do da do do” near the end. Sounds sorta Britney Spears-ish – at least, early Britney Spears, anyway.

Does that sound like the song you’re thinking of, Jinx?

Sounds like Lucky One by Amy Grant, off her “House of Love” album (1994).

Well, it’s certainly the song that was playing in my head when I read the OP. Thanks!

My vote - Amy Grant (yes mid 90’s, I think), song called Lucky One.

Dang - on preview, Lizard bet me to it.

I knew it rang a bell. It’s Amy Grant, circa 1994.

Follow the link and click on “Lucky One.”

Dang. ** Sauron, Lizard and The Gaspode** beat me to it.

So what’s the story, Jinx? Is Amy Grant’s tune the song you were thinking of?
