What a wonderful world

What a wonderful collection of nice things.

Here’s my list:

Msgs on the SD that make me laugh…happens EVERY day
The smell of a newborn child
Brewing coffee
Sunny, mild days
Work
The satisfaction I get from nailing a good bit on my show
Award winning commercials that I voice and produce
My family…most of the time

New crayons. There’s something great about the first stroke of color from a brand new crayon.

Legos. There is no toy greater than Lego Blocks. Even as an adult I love them.

Lying in bed late on a saturday, knowing you don’t have to get up, and dozing through your dreams for hours.

A hug from an old friend.

Cuddling with your loved one on a cold day.

Listen to good music on those big “earmuff” style headphones with your eyes closed.

Man, you ain’t kidding about this…what IS it about newborns that makes 'em smell so damn good? Whenever I hold a newborn and smell it, it just makes me giggle…then I look around to make sure nobody saw it.

A good book on a hot summer day sitting on a shaded porch on one of those swing couch things with a HUGE glass of iced tea…

The way the air smells after a rain…

Camping in a favourite spot with clear weather ahead and few bugs…

Summer camp with old friends and making new ones…

Scented candles…

A good RP session grins

I know…it’s little embarassing. If I smell a newborn, I frantically search for my wife, and try and convince her to have more kids.

Then I find a brick and bash myself about the head and shoulders.

The moment my son popped out and I felt that love for him only a father could have for a son.
Then realizing that my father loves me the same.

searching for shapes in big fluffy white clouds
slipping into a good book after a long day
having a lap full of cat and no reason to get up
whispered conversations with my hubby after the lights are off
stepping out of the hot sun into a cool room
green lights all the way home
sleeping late when I want to
having a good laugh
getting with friends to roleplay and generally have fun
finally finishing a project and knowing it was well done
coming home after work knowing that there is nothing that has to be done
the touch of my husband’s hand on my cheek

The “look of love” on my husband’s face
Watching my 14-year old cat chase a ribbon as if she were still a kitten
Cat cuddles
Husband cuddles
Harry Potter
Rex Stout’s Nero Wolfe and Archie Goodwin
The lights at the top of the Empire State Building at night, which go from ordinary white to amazing colors on holidays.
Looking at the Statue of Liberty from Battery Park
Talking to my nephew on the phone
Going to Broadway musicals with my best friend (and her mom)
Motown (the music, not Detroit)
Singing
Hiking in the mountains
Snow reflecting the colors of the rainbow
Marmots, chipmunks, pikas, meadow voles, and any other rodent found in alpine country
New Zealand–all of it. Plus all of the people. And the birds.
Reading in bed at night with my husband, next to me, one cat sitting on my chest and the other lying against my leg
My sunrise alarm clock, which imitates sunrise instead of blaring alarms to wake me up

That wonderful thrill you feel when you’ve just completed a hostile takeover of a competitor’s company, and you have the voting proxy in your hand, and you’re writing out the order to dissolve the company and slash all the severence packages.

What?
