When I was a kid, I used to play an arcade game at a local roller rink. I’m reminded of this from the thread about quarter-eating machines, because I sucked at the game and never got past the first level.
The game was a side-scrolling action game, and the character was some kind of jungle barbarian. I think he had either a sword or a battleaxe. He was barechested and had shaggy Tarzan-type hair, if I recall correctly. The background (at least in the first level) was I think an outdoor grassy area, and I also think there were caves you could go into where you had to fight bats.
