What are the best ringtones you've heard?

I’ve got a Treo 650 and I’m looking for some good ringtones for it. I like musical ones with a good opening, because it doesn’t ring for more than a couple seconds at a time anyway. “Don’t Fear The Reaper” is a pretty good one, I have used “Imagine” and some piano one I have called “Fantasy D” but I don’t remember the composer or the full name for that matter.
So what’s on your phone? What have you heard other people’s phones doing and thought, “Now that is a very cool ringtone”?
I usually keep my phone on vibrate in public and it only rings at home, but I spent enough on the phone to want to listen to some good stuff once in a while.

My ringtone is pretty snazzy in my opinion. It’s the Opening Theme for Dr. Who - The Tom Baker years.

I’m a big fan of the tone I use on my Kyocera, which is named “Telephone.” I find fancy ringtones irritating.

If my wife is calling, my phone ring is “Touch Me” by the Doors. If it is work calling, it is “Beast of Burden” by the Stones.

The two that I’ve thought were cool were the opening guitar solo (an actual sound clip, not cell phone beep-beep noises) of Sweet Child of Mine and the Harry Potter theme, played on celeste.

Well, mine is the best, of course.

It’s the Super Mario Bros. theme. If it rings while anyone is around, I’ll always get a comment about it.

Yo, I kick it ‘old school’.

I also like my sister-in-law’s ringtone. It’s the theme from Six Feet Under.

A friend of mine has the chewbacca sound as his ringer every time his girlfriend calls. I think that’s pretty funny.

I’ve got “Tubular Bells” (aka, the Exorcist theme) on mine. Works really well, and it’s not too likely that everybody else (or even anybody else) around here would have it.

That’s my nephew’s ringtone.

Yeah, but is he around here?

Under your cat? No. :stuck_out_tongue:

A friend of mine has a recording of himself saying “Pick up your phone … Pick up your phone” in a really bored voice.

Same as mine!

I’ve got the “Yip yip” martians from Sesame Street. Had a hell of a time tracking it down- luckily, though, it’s fairly easy to convert wav files for use as a ringer on the Treo650.

brrrring OOOOH! Brr-inng! BRR-INNG! PHONE! Yip Yip!”

Never fails to make people laugh.

I have heard the theme from “Nightrider.” That was awesome.

I converted a sound-effect file from Return to Castle Wolfenstein for mine. It’s a stern Nazi officer shouting “Move, you fools! Schnell! Schnell!”

I answer it schnell, yes.

Nobody else has it. It rarely rings more than once or twice. What’s not to love?

That’s mine! For when my husband calls. For regular calls, I used to go for something that would seem funny, like “Iron Man.” Because no one expects someone who looks like me to use a Black Sabbath ringtone. I programmed it myself, so it was just the beep-beep-beep, but I think that made it all the more silly sounding.

My brother used to have the Quiznos subs creatures (“We love the subs!”) as his ringtone, which always got him comments. Now he uses “Thunderstruck,” which has an awesome riff for a ringtone.

I am so excited to have phone with “real tones” instead of polyphonic tones. My general ringtone is “Back in Black” by AC/DC. When it’s my sister or any of my girlfriends call, it’s “Girl’s Just Wanna Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper.

One time in a store, a guy’s phone rang and it was “Who Can It Be Now?” by Men at Work…that was the best one I’ve ever heard.

I’ve got the opening Guitar riff from Duran Duran’s Rio.

My wife, the Halloween freak has Tocata Fuge in D Minor. (it’s the one you ALWAYS hear when the eeeevile dude plays the Pipe organ)

I had the theme from the Six Flags commercial (with the wierd old dancin’ guy)…It was a real polarizing ringtone that NEVER failed to have people humming the tune after a phone call.

I have the opening riffs of “Smoke On The Water” for my ringtone.
