Space:1999?
Automan?
Manimal?
Team Knight Rider?
Give me your worst!
Obviously there are probably a lot worse slotted into morning/late night slots I haven’t seen, but purely thinking of prime time shows, and obviously most of the US stuff we get will be at least relatively good.
Most Haunted
Little Britain
Midsomer Murders
Big Brother, (although the basic idea for the first series wasn’t that bad)
Shooting Stars
These are the ones that first popped into my head
Melody Rules - NZ show most unfunny comedy ever
Dukes of Hazzard
**On the Buses **- unfunny Brit comedy
**Singing Bee **- NZ singing contest on now & truly dreadful
2 pints of lager and a packet of crisps. Only saw one episode - but that was enough
:smack: How could I forget that?
Without a doubt, Small Wonder.
I’ve no doubt that many shows will be mentioned that I agree were truly awful, and some that have been posted I agree merit this title(some i have not heard of). That being said, anyone that cites Cop Rock is going to get a punch in the face.
It was innovative and fun and music! Stop making fun of it.
The Taco Bell Dana Carvey Show (from which Taco Bell prompty removed their name)
Alright Already, starring Carol Leifer
Come on now, you gotta admit that Little Britain had some fine moments. At least some characters you like? Before they rode the characters into the ground, of course.
I watched a bunch of 2 Pints of Lager before I gave up on it. I kept thinking that it was just because I’m an American that I don’t get it. I’m glad that’s not the case…
A Sheldon Leonard vehicle, Big Eddy. You can all go home now.
Last of the summer wine. Dismal fixture of Sunday telly that seemed to go on for millenia. The worst because it was so tedious.
Big Brother is probably the worst television show currently showing in the UK.
Men behaving badly was garbage, although seemed to be v popular. Watch a re-run if you doubt the shiteness of this show, dated beyond belief in 10 years.
Deal or no deal is like watching a documentary of a stupidity cult engaging in alien rituals. Which would be OK as a one-off, make a series out of it presented by Noel Edmonds and you’ve got one of the worst shows of all time.
**Star Trek Voyager ** seems pretty bad. Obviously not at the level of badness of two pints of lager or anything like that, but it’s a good example of one casting sinking the entire show.
Space 1999 was awesome btw czarcasm, at least to this 6 year old watching it.
I never saw this one, but from the promo I did see back in the day I could tell this one was a howler.
I can only list the ones I actually saw.
Automan
The San Pedro Beach Bums
Joanie Loves Chachi (even though I dug Joanie when I was that age)
AfterMASH
Holmes and YoYo
Okay, so that makes two people on the planet who liked Cop Rock.
Automan was pretty bad. Was that the one with the computer-generated car that used to make abrupt right angle turns? The human characters always did a comic-face-mush-into-the-window at that point, and I always used to think that at 60 mph (or whatever) it would have been a comic-red-splotch-with-bone-and-brain-bits-into-the-window. But I’m morbid like that.
On the sitcom front, the BBC has a history of producing shows which are not just unfunny but really quite depressing (see Keeping Mum, Mr Charity, The Life of Riley, and so forth). Because, you know, who doesn’t find Alzheimers hilarious?
Big Brother - every time I see they’re doing a new series I develop a nervous tic. If I try watching it, guaranteed I’m screaming uncontrollably within a minute as my brain cells start to shut down. It’s idiots on display for other idiots to mock.
According to Jim
Turn-on (and, yes, I did watch it. Every episode. ).
Full House
The Pruitts of Southhampton
Wipeout
A vote for [i[The Smoking Gun: Dumbest Criminals* on TruTV.
I don’t mind occasional footage of dumbass criminals in action, but why do we need commentary from repulsive “celebrities” like Tonya Harding?
Including “reality” TV shows on such a list is difficult, because they keep feeding new loathsome ones into the pipeline.
Another vote for SMALL WONDER.
Also, THE MUNSTERS w/ John Schuck as Herman, and the Fox Family Channel’s THE ADDAMS FAMILY which had Booger as Gomez.
My Mother the Car
Yeah. I can’t wait for the 12 DVD season one boxed set to come out.
Cavemen
I guess no one remembers Supertrain.
