What are you getting your SO for Christmas?

I just got my wife these pans. She said she wanted pans and we sat down together and bought them.

She got me a Wii.

It’s a good Christmas.

I bought him Unreal Tournament 3 a few weeks ago. He’s also getting the Meh shirt from Thinkgeek.com, a pair of fuzzy d20s from Thinkgeek.com, and an OSU hoodie.

Plus lots of lovin’.

My wife is getting a late Xmas present of me home in January, when the takeoffs are easier and we’re predicting a decrease in the suicide bombers.

She got me something so fantastic I do have to share, however – a small Xmas tree with handmade ornaments featuring pictures of our time together. There’s pics of our friends, right after we got engaged, our pets, pics of fabulous vacations, etc. My wife rocks.

Headphones and rock climbing shoes. Plus a spare Wii sensor and Mario Party 8 if no one in his family has bought them for him already.

Peridot and gold earrings
LL Bean silk long underwear
Organic cotton socks
Marian Burros: The New Elegant But Easy Cookbook
Olives stuffed with blu cheese
A tin of peppermint bark

You both rock. Wishing you and your wife a fabulous Christmas in January.

A card.

My sweetie and I don’t really do gifts all that much. We’ll take each other out to dinner. Probably build a fire and drink mulled wine on Christmas or thereabouts. Yummmm.

Wonderful.

My Wife is getting a down coat, a running hat and sheepskin slippers. We live in the cold.

We traveled for Thanksgiving this year. My Mom was even able to come with us.

Christmas will be a simple get together more local.

My 78yo Mom wants tools. So I made a run to Sears for that. She does not need any more trinkets.

We broke up so I took the money I was going to spend on him and got myself a new winter coat. Yay!

It’s early in the relationship, so we’re not doing huge gifts. I got him Colbert’s I am America (and you can too) and the DVD of the movie 300, which he loves but does not have.

a subscription renewal to world war 2 magazine.
the dive master’s really fond of it. :stuck_out_tongue:

My husband is a Doper as well so I can’t fess up to toooo much right here, but…

A page-a-day calendar (I get him one every year so this is no surprise)
Tix to a matinee of Spamalot!
And a few other things, nothing too major or all that exciting.

I got my husband a new meat slicer.
He makes a lot of jerky, and this will be great for slicing the various meats he uses, as his old slicer is a bit outdated, and not as nice.
This is the one I got him:

He got me a few cast iron pans that I’ve been wanting, as I cook a lot, and I prefer to use cast iron as much as possible.
He got me these:

I have no SO, so I got my best friends a home energy audit, which will set out a plan for renovating their house to not be the leaky sieve it is now.

I’m giving him a Domo-kun calander and the “Zombie Defense System” shirt “Ninjas can’t catch you” shirt from the Dr. McNinja website. I think he’ll like them.

A Mayan hammock and stand

Pears

Dark chocolate (including one with buttered bread crumbs in it that I admit I might have bought so I can try it)

A documentary about Route 66

A couple of pc games

An electric throw for his recliner

Those pans look great. Please post again after you have used them a while.

I’ve been thinking about this one, so I guess I’ll submit it for your opinions. My GF is rather well-endowed and has a hard time finding quality bras in her size. I can’t exactly go buy her bras without her trying them on, so I was considering getting her a gift card for a couple of nice bras from a reputable store. I know gift cards are often considered impersonal and thereby a poor choice for one in a relationship, but she has complained in the past about how difficult it is for her to find fitting bras that aren’t ugly. I think this is more personal than just giving her a Best Buy gift card and telling her to go nuts. Plus, maybe we could make a thing of it and she could try some on and I could give her my own input*.

What do you guys think?

*after which she may let me take her home and give her some more “input”, if you know what I mean

With SO being a doper, I can’t say bupkis.

Oh, and lest I seem ungenerous, I’m also taking her some rubies I picked up on the cheap and a burqa just to be a goof. Also a wine-bottle burqa, which a women’s NGO makes here.
