What are you snacking on right now?

Normally I’d never snack during the day. WFH has me snacking like an m-fer out of boredom. Just now I polished off the remains of a box of CheezIt Sharp White Cheddar Grooves.

For the love of god, stop me before I snack again!

A mix of olives, radishes and palm hearts, with the latter sliced into slices about the size of medium sized scallops. Tasty, filling, not a lot lot of caloric intake.

Where were you 3 minutes ago?..

Oh, so you think you’re better than me?!..

Well, I won’t have to brush my teeth before I speak with anybody in person, so at least there’s that.

Cutting up celery and carrots.

Raspberry sweet cake from the Asian market, with hot tea, mmmm!

Yogurt.

(Also candy. I’m bad.)

@sitchensis told me about salt-and-pepper flavored pistachios in December.

I may need to look into rehab.

some honey-roasted peanuts.

I hope you remembered the ranch & blue cheese dressing.

jordan almonds.

All I have is store brand mayo and shortening.

Dot’s. Seasoned pretzel twists. For so long they were a once-a-year treat, because you could only get them in the Dakotas… then the Twin Cities. Then we started seeing them in our grocery store, and that was the beginning of my current decades-long binge.

So, “Snacking on”, yes, but there is no “right now”… I’m always snacking on Dot’s.

That’ll come in handy when I tell you what you can do with your celery and carrots then.

A mix of Trader Joe’s roasted unsated pumpkin seeds and shelled pistachios.

I’ve had salt and pepper seasoned pistachios; a great savory mix with the sweet-ish taste of pistachios

Honey sesame sticks.

I should be eating carrots or something healthy, but I made this the other day for the first time and I’m strangely addicted.

A couple of weeks ago during Passover, I made something like this in my air fryer: matzot, sprinkled with olive oil, finely grated Parmesan cheese, and a dusting of red pepper flakes. Toast until pretty dark brown.

It seems to me that a nice variation on this would be to add ranch dressing powder into the mix. Some experimentation may be called for. With plain saltines or matzot (which have the advantage of being the blankest of blank canvases).
