What are your all time favorite candies?

Any milk chocolate. No nuts, including coconut.

My grandmother’s Maple Candy. Nothing but fresh maple syrup from my grandfather’s sugar bush, boiled down a bit more and whipped.

Pure maple as creamy as fudge, nothing crystallized.

Mint m&m’s. For awhile they had some “gourmet” ones that were gold-flecked and had a different shell that were even better but they don’t sell them anymore.
Meanwhile, Hershey’s candy cane kisses are addictive so I am carefully avoiding any stores that sell them until after the holidays.

Spree candies, even if they make me wince. Good and Plenties and bullseye from back in the day. More recently, peanut butter M & 's.

If they called Snickers bars Marathon, what did they call the real Marathon bars?

Our Marathon bars were your Snickers but became Snickers here until they tried to make them Marathons again but that never happened so our Snickers are the same as your Snickers. Your Marathons are our Curly Wurlys.

Hope that clears everything up

Childhood candy: 7-Up Bars
Hard candy: Claey’s Lemon Drops
Candy bar: Reese’s Pnut Butter cups

And another big thumbs up for homemade Divinity. Perfect name. It IS the candy of the angels. Wish it wasn’t so difficult to make.

Honorable Mention - Maple Bun Bars, Dove caramel filled single chocolates, chocolate truffles

I am back again to praise some I neglected: Reese Peanut Butter Cups. The two in a package are great but the tiny ones are awesome! Ferrero Rocher, Ghirardelli dark and milk chocolate peppermint bark squares, Lindor Peppermint Truffles, Harry and David Peppermint Truffles.

I also enjoy Heath, Skor and Almond Roka; but I would really appreciate a recommendation on a crisp toffee without the chocolate or nuts.

M&Ms, either the Milk Chocolate or the Peanut Butter

Three Musketeers bars

Fannie May Mint Meltaways

Milka Dark Chocolate bars

And at the top of the list - Lindt Lindor Truffles. Special favorites - Peanut Butter, Cappuchino, Almond, Hazelnut, Stracciatella, and Raspberry or Orange with Dark Chocolate.

Maycey’s Glo-Harts.
