I should be studying for an Evolutionary Bio & Genetics midterm. Instead I am posting on the SDMB and making up stories in my head about a fantasy world based on Imperial China.
The test is tomorrow night at 7 and I haven’t started reviewing yet. I don’t know if I will do it or just trust to my luck. I definitely should do it. BuT I may drop the class before the week is out and then I’ll have wasted my time.
What should you be doing?
Cleaning, ironing and stuff. What are you doing instead?

Yeah. Tomorrow night, likely. I have to get it done by the weekend, as I’m fairly sure I’ll have… er… other things to do this weekend. And yes, those other things would be named Gunslinger. Anything else worth saying?
Do you have any idea how hard it is to come up with five different sources for a speech on circus peanuts? I can write the speech just fine but I can’t find enough sources.
I should be reading four chapters, beginning research on Indonesia, finding somewhere to volunteer, working on a worksheet, oh yeah and reading some more.
What are you doing instead?
It’s obvious I’m on here posting as well as checking my email and eating supper.
When is it due?
Well, all the stuff I should be doing is due to be done by Friday, next Wednesday,in a couple of weeks,in a couple of weeks, and Friday, respectively.
Do you think you’ll ever do it?
I hope I’ll gradually get it all done but I’ll procrastinate on some of it…a stressful method in the long run but it works for me.

Not really…just the usual procrastination/stress thing going on with me…

Either Calculus II homework or Discrete Math.

Until 5 minutes ago, I was playing Myst.

The Calculus really isn’t due. That course doesn’t really matter at this point, since I changed it to credit only (I’ll retake in the Spring semester). The Discrete Math is due Friday.

Yes to both.

I’m seriously considering changing my major to Computer Engineering (from Computer Science) just to get away from my advisor, who “advised” me to find a major that “doesn’t involve so much math.”
Reviewing for my QM test (it is to laugh) or my Egyptian test, writing the essay on Mithraism that is due on Thursday but that I will ask for an extension on, or the other essay due next week. Or I could do my history reading.

Messing with the SDMB. When is it due?
Theoretically, never. But I want to turn them in before the midterm so I can make the professor wallow in my genius. Do you think you’ll ever do it?

Yeah. SFE is required for an English major. Doesn’t that suck?

a. I should be working on either: english paper (sin in Hawthorne and Meville), or writing a quiz, or writing a journal entry (we have to, for another class), or doing kiswahili homework, or reading biology, or doing laundry, or cleaning my sty - i mean, my apartment for when my friend comes to visit this weekend.
b. instead, i am mostly wandering around my apartment - kind of like pacing, except more aimless, with frequent stops. my stations are: knitting in the chair by the window, playing quitar on the couch, smoking by the other window, checking to see if my silverware is still dirty and needing washing (it always is and always does), computer to see if anyone has send me mail (no one ever has), then start over again at the knitting station. previously, i was watching the real world
c. everything school related is due tomorrow and my friend gets in on friday evening.
d. i HAVE to do the paper tonite, everything else will probably be put off.
What should you be doing?
A paper on reparations for slavery (yea or nay?) I also have two tests next week I should be reviewing for - one in abnormal psych, one in sociology. I kinda bombed the first psych test so I really ought to be studying that.

Yeah, in the morning. I ate too much dinner and now I feel all bloaty, so working now is worthless - right?

Uh, no. Except I got into the program I wanted at the uni I’m transferring to in the spring (yeah!) and I meet with my advisor tomorrow. I hope I get the classes I want.
Let’s see…I’ve got an algorithms project and a take-home analysis test due Thursday, but those are more or less done. I’ve got a linguistics problem set due Friday that I haven’t started. Oh, and I’ve got 6 chapters of psych reading to catch up on this weekend.

Aside from the obvious, I’m trying to drink the last of the shitty beer I bought so I can move onto the better stuff. It’s to celebrate 2 exams I had today.

-when the place is too dirty to stand, or when my roommates bitch at me, whichever comes first

-I’m going out of town from Thursday evening-Saturday, so I should have clean clothes for then

I’ll study, but the asm program is going to kick my ass. I don’t think I’ll be able to finish it, just like everyone else in the class, we have one of those profs.

I love computer science, but right now I’m doubting how really good I am at it. I hate not being the best! For all this fishy’s out their, don’t fall behind like I did! Stay current!
