Chemical Brothers - twice
The Orb - twice
The Go-Gos - a few times
Infected Mushroom - twice
Junkie XL - 3 times
Moby - 6 or 7 times
Crystal Method - 3 or 4 times
DJs:
Armin van Burren - a dozen or so
Tiësto - same
Ferry Corsten - same
Sandra Collins - twice
DJ Dan - half a dozen or so
Fatboy Slim - twice
I’m sure there are more, but this is all I can think of right now:
Kansas - 2 (once with and once without Steve Walsh)
Van Halen - 2 (original line-up both times)
The Smithereens - 4 or more
Pat DiNizio (lead singer of above)- 2 (and was his roadie for both shows)
Don Dixon & Marti Jones -2
The Fleshtones - 6 (4 times in one week)
Tracy Bonham - 2
The Beach Boys - 2 (an '80s line-up and a mid-'70s lineup)
Sting - 2 (and make it 3 if you count a Police concert)
many many local (SE Virginia) bands many many times, some of whom have released songs that got national/international airplay.
Wilco - I think 5 times, plus Jeff Tweedy solo once
Spoon - 5
Drive-By Truckers - 4
The Octopus Project - 4
Less Than Jake - 4
…And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead - 3
Jonathan Richman - 3
The Black Keys - 3
Superchunk - 3
Weezer - 3
Ted Leo & the Pharmacists - 2

My Morning Jacket - 2
Built to Spill - 2
Old 97’s - 2
The Roots - 2
Sloan - 2
Ozma - 2
Steve Earle - 2
Sunny Day Real Estate - 2
Yeah, those are basically my reasons, plus I find the whole experience to be very stressful. I can never afford good seats, parking is insane, the lines are insane…it’s just never worth it to me. Except when it comes to Wilco. They’re worth just about anything, including flying from Salt Lake to Oakland so I get the chance to see them…
I haven’t been to too many concerts either. The only band I’ve seen twice is OAR. The only reason being that they’re from the Maryland area and are pretty big over here.

Wow, so many of you have such very, very long lists – I can’t imagine what your lists of bands you’ve seen once must be like.
More than once, I’ve seen:
U2
Peter Gabriel
The Beastie Boys
REM
The Goo Goo Dolls (This one is possibly excluded per the OP, as they were a small local band when I saw them)
Hi! Sorry I missed this earlier. But yeah! I saw Larry before he was famous, and I saw him again at the Q107 10th Anniversary Bash at The Diamond Club. He sang a solo rendition of “Good Golly Miss Molly” with such intensity, his voice could have peeled paint off walls.
I have on VHS at least one Much Music Spotlight of his videos, and his appearance on Letterman, after he had started going by Lawrence.
It sure is strange to hear him singing for Styx now!
the Urge (10) (local band)
Deftones (5)
Rancid (4)
Bad Religion (3)
311 (3)
Goldfinger
Rage against the Machine
White Stripes
Green Day
Mars Volta
Jane’s Addiction
George Clinton (P-funk allstars)
Grateful Dead (when I was very young)
