Eating food/drinking is difficult when laughing. I’m not even talking about the ‘spewing coke all over the monitor’ type situations that afflict many dopers from reading funny posts. I’m talking about just having food/liquid in your mouth and trying to supress laughing; your face is unconciously turning to a smile but you’re trying to correct it and in the whole process the contents of your mouth just tumble out and down your chin.
My friend’s roomate has peed herself not once, but twice from laughing. No existing medical condition (like pregnancy) or anything, just had to pee while we were telling a joke. That never happened to me, but with my luck (few weeks ago I was trying to hold back a bout of diarrhea and I sneezed  ) its only a matter of time…
Well, I have a tiny, tiny, bladder and I can’t say laughing has ever caused me to pee myself. Breathing, yes…I’ve laughed so much it’s hard to get air. Those laughs are the best. As for food/drink, I’ve had that, but usually I try desperately to swallow and end up choking/laughing at the same time then.
I have asthma, and I trigger it pretty often laughing, so I’d have to say breathing. It’s not very fun, but it doesn’t stop me from laughing. Well, unless it does. But you know.
Um, sphinctorial? Someone once said something funny to me at an inappropriate moment and I barked laughter. I slapped my hand over my mouth, and the backup of air caused me to fart wetly and loudly.
BWAAAAAAAAAA- slap
BRAAAAAAAAAAAP!
And then pretty much everyone was laughing. Or trying not to. But no one else farted.
I have in fact peed my pants laughing. Just a little. Don’t tell anybody.
And once I laughed so hard I snorted like Urkel. And then of course I laughed a thousand times harder (and farted, actually, but I don’t think anybody caught on.)
Thanks for reminding me why I won’t be attending a Dopefest any time soon. People would be afraid to tell a joke.
Breathing and standing (I know it isn’t technically a bodily function, but still). I’ll laugh so hard I can’t even roll over - it takes over my body to that extent.
Wait…you mean you’ve had an orgasm while laughing? Or that something funny happened pre-O that made you lose it? Because the first one would be really cool, but the second one (speaking from personal experience) just kinda sucks.
