There’s actually a handful of other cards in there, but I just realized that there’s no reason for them to be. Out they come. I hate having a thick wallet.
I keep a money clip, not a wallet. But it has:
-Driver’s license
-insurance card
-benefits card (for my HSA)
-ATM card
-credit card
ETA: What’s an Oyster card?
Driver’s license
Credit card
Medical insurance cards, mine and my daughter’s
Library card
PADI diver certification card (cuz I’d lose it if I put it in a “safe place”)
About a dozen store loyalty cards
Card used in London to store money on, so you can pay on public transport.
Driver’s license
Auto insurance claim reporting card
Passport card
Four different library cards (two public and two academic)
Three copy cards for use at two libraries
Shopper club cards for three different retail chains
Red Cross donor card
Charlie Card for use on the MBTA around Boston

Business cards
MetroCard (NYC transit)
Debit card
Insurance card
State ID
Columbia student ID (I graduated but it does expire until 2016 and I get into some museums for free)
Customer card for my local coffee shop, sometimes (share it w/ bf)
SIM card thingy + mobile “top up” card for the UK
I’m happy to report that I don’t have any credit cards. I can’t be trusted with them and I already have enough open accounts on my credit reports via student loans (which have automatic payments set up so I can’t make any mistakes).
I have a ridiculous number of cards in my wallet, and have to weed them out regularly. I also have a separate card holder with all the various loyalty and store charge cards we have. ARGH.
I carry a makeshift money clip, with cash, two credit cards (business and personal), and my driver’s license. Occasionally a card for public transport, but only when I need it. That’s it.
Credit card with 5% rebate at supermarkets
Credit card with 2% rebate at restaurants and drug stores
Credit card with 5% rebate at varying store types
Two more credit cards that I don’t currently use
Supermarket loyalty card
Drugstore loyalty card
Health insurance card
State ID card
$5 gift card for a local restaurant I’ve yet to visit
Transit card
ATM card
Some business cards
And in wallet #2 (because I haven’t been able to find a single wallet big enough):
Credit cards for Lowes, LL Bean, Target (with rebates or discounts)
REI loyalty card
Frequent flyer cards for 3 airlines
Social security card
Voter ID card
Second ATM card (for business account)
Dental insurance card
JC Penney gift card
Bicycle advocacy organization membership card (good for discounts)
Loyalty cards for various chain restaurants, most with just one punch or stamp
Loyalty card for movie theatre in another state, one punch
Card with secret code for remote operation of answering machine (never used)
3 more credit cards I don’t use
College ID that expired 30 years ago
Perhaps I should clean out some of that. (But what if I clean out the one thing I’ll need tomorrow!)
5 of hearts.
3 of clubs.
3 x debit cards (personal account, joint account, business account)
1 x credit card
Oyster Card (London transit)
Nectar Card (rewards card for supermarkets etc)
Organ donor card
Membership card for leisure club
Business cards
…and a book of Royal Mail first class stamps
Have you got one of those new oyster cards with auto top-up?
Plastic:

[li]Debit card[/li][li]Credit card[/li][li]Store loyalty card (Nectar)[/li][li]Driving licence (x2)[/li][li]Library card[/li][li]Subway points card[/li][/ul]
Paper / cardboard:

[li]RSPB membership card[/li][li]National Insurance card[/li][li]NHS organ donor register[/li][li]Various “Buy x coffees and get 1 free” type cards (x5)[/li][li]Swing dance class card[/li][/ul]
Perhaps it’s time to cut down a bit and stop pretending I’ll ever collect that free coffee.
Auto top-up isn’t new, is it? I haven’t got it, but only because I’ve never got round to registering my card online.
Driving license
Debit card
Mobile top-up card
Supermarket loyalty card (attached to my old address, should maybe get round to changing that)
Garden centre loyalty card (ditto)
Library card
And, for some reason, a stray Oyster card- I don’t live in London.
Plus some second class stamps and some teeny tiny origami paper for when I get bored.
Auto top-up isn’t new in it self, but when you buy a new oyster card it comes with auto top-up. So you don’t need to do all the registering.
But how does that work? You still need to register your bank details, surely, otherwise how will they charge you?
(Sorry for the hijack folks, please ignore and bypass).
