Very dark brown. Nearly, but not quite black.
I used to say hazel, but more and more people said they were green, so now I say green. It’s actually green with light brown flecks in it, so I guess it’s either one. Also I’ve been told if my eyes are pink for some reason, like I’m angry, or allergies have attacked them, my eyes turn REALLY green.
I also can’t seem to tell the difference between grey and blue eyes. I just can’t see it at all, like I’m colorblind. I’m not colorblind otherwise though, so it’s weird.
Add me to the list of people boggled by the fact that blue is beating brown.
Gray with green highlights and a dark gray rim. Most people think they are blue, but they are not.
Blue around the edge of the iris, green towards the pupil.

I just went and checked, they’re definitley as described, with two distinct bands of colour. So I voted “None of the above”.
ETA: Central heterochromia, damn!
Same here. And they turn this amazing shade of clear green when I cry. I want that effect without all the red that comes from crying!
We have an albino poster here. Have we ever had an “Ask the Albino” thread?
Turquoise but I said green because that is closest I guess. I can’t even remember how many times I have been asked if I wear color contacts. Nope…inherited them from my father who has the same color.
I knew a guy who had navy blue eyes once. He had the darkest blue eyes I’ve ever seen. It was actually disconcerting, they were such a dark blue.
Dark brown close around the pupil. An almost black ring on the very edge of the outside. Goldish between. I went with amber, because the one on Wikipedia that looked most like mine was amber.
Also, I missed the edit window, but can people’s eye color really change based on emotion? Because that seriously sparks the :dubious: in me.
Brown eyes, although My Beloved says they turn blue occasionally.
Same situation here. I said green in the poll but they’re actually green with a brownish-red ring in the middle. I always thought of it like an olive slice with pimiento.
I answered blue, but upon further inspection my eyes are grey. I believe they were more bluish when I was younger. I also had blond hair when I was a kid which urned into light brown which is turning grey.
Bah. Can’t edit. Here’s a picture.
Mine are definitely green. They have brown flecks, but also can look a lot more blue/teal in direct sunlight and depending on what clothes I’m wearing. Mr. Elysium loves them, which is nice. I had blue eyes until I was about 12 and they started to darken down to green, no idea why. At the same time my previously light brown hair got more chestnut/red, so who knows?
Mine are green. One of my best features and they really stand out in good light.
Well, if you’re angry, and the blood vessels/pupils contract due to an adrenaline rush, then light colored eyes will look lighter. Likewise if you’re sad, and maybe even have been crying, and there’s a lot of blood flow to your eyes, maybe even making the whites reddish, then blue eyes will look violet.
I magine that the darker the eyes, the less effect you wil be able to see.
Dark brown, with a dark-charcoal-shade ring around the outer edge.
