My Audi is Ocean Blue Pearl, my husband’s Murano is Midnight Blue, and my daughter’s Civic is Nighthawk Black Pearl. Royal blue, dark blue, and black.
I want a car company to come along with a color called ‘Primer Gray’.
“All set for your first mishap. We think, so you don’t have to.”
My Nissan is ‘Majestic Blue’. They have two different blues so they have to call it something.
My daughter has an '01 New Beetle TDI in that same green, but her interior is black cloth. Unfortunately, after 5 or so years in FL, the paint is faded.
All this talk of British Racing Green reminded me that we had a MG Midget in that color, with tan leather interior. We didn’t own it for long, and I didn’t mind when it was traded.
Galapogos (sp??) green. No idea why. It’s a light-ish kind of green.
Titanium Metallic. Just between you and me, it’s grey w/ a hint of blue.
Velocity Red Mica, it is.
My car colors have been incredibly boring:
'73 Buick Electra 225 4-door - Black
'79 Monte Carlo - White
'82 Honda Civic - Grey (don’t know if it was a spiffy-named grey or not)
'94 Blazer - Black
'01 S-10 - Black
…yaaaawwn
My new baby is Cosmic Blue. It’s basically a light to medium blue with a metallic tinge to it. It is most decidedly NOT lavender!
[sub]The boyfriend’s mom, whom I do actually like, called it lavender. [/sub]
I have no idea. It’s a sort of metallic red with silver. Mercury Villager which I want to burn to the ground (it threw a rod today and it now an expensive paperweight for really big paper). Our Volkswagen Cabrio convertible is also red, with a black ragtop.
Looks like about four parts Titanium White to one part Burnt Umber.
No idea what the color’s called; the truck is eighteen years old, so the original documentation is lost in the mists of history.
I call it retina-searing blue. It’s nice, because I can spot it immediately across a packed parking lot.
(The hot woman in the photo is my wife, by the way.)
I have a silver Hyundai. Mrs. Small drives a red Nissan. We’re pretty basic when it comes to cars…

My Land Rover has a colour called Bonatti grey, kind of a dark brownish grey colour tht almost look black at dawn, but dark grey at daytime :dubious:
A few years ago, I visited my sister-in-law’s parents house one day for dinner. I had to laugh, when I looked at the cars.
We had one in Saturn Gold (mine).
One in Honda Gold (sis-in-law’s)
One in Something Else Gold
One in Toyota Gold
and one in no kind of gold whatsoever. It was really quite amusing, especially since all these gold cars (which may have fancier names than I have provided) were not quite the same color. Similar, but not quite. One was more bronzy, one was more silvery, that sort of thing.
We have two vehicles…the Tundra is silver, and the RAV is silver. But they do differ the tiniest bit, so the Tundra is something like “Stormy Sky silver” and the RAV is something like “misty silver”. Those aren’t the exact names but they are close, and are an interesting commentary on the perceived market for the two vehicles.
Go to the drugstore. Look at taupe nylons. Kind of dark grey with a brown tone. That’s taupe.
My New Beetle is Sundown Orange.
It is virtually the color of traffic cones. Sadly, this has not stopped people from hitting it.
I’ve never lost it in the parking lot though.
That’s one of the best descriptions of taupe that I’ve ever heard. Another place you can find taupe is in the ladies shoe department. It’s popular over there.
2004 Neon SXT, Blaze Red Crystal Pearlcoat. Looks like metallic red to me but what do I know?
Pewter. Except it looks gold. :dubious: It’s a 2000 Corvette.
