What did Sally Hawkins' friend say in Happy Go Lucky say at the end?

I was struck by it, but I can’t remember it well enough. The two of them were out in a boat and the one says something like, “You can’t make everybody happy,” or some such thing, and Sally Hawkins’ character says, “There’s no harm in trying.” I think that’s such a remarkable, and wonderful, point of view, but I want to know exactly what the first statement was. Do I have it right? Or was it something different?

I saw it, and liked it, but I don’t remember the exact phrase, sorry. Sally Hawkins is adorable, but boy I wanted to slap Poppy a time or two. That driver’s ed teacher should have thrown her out of the car in the first 5 minutes. She was a menace on the road.

Cute and sweet as hell when she wasn’t behind the wheel of a car though.

En-ra-ha!!

Well, I wanted to quote it correctly, as I intend to use it in a class I am teaching. I’ll wait to see if anyone remembers it precisely. xo

Ha, actually, you already had it exactly right. It’s in the trailer.
Edit, not exactly. “You can’t make everyone happy.”

Zoe: You can’t make everyone happy.
Poppy: There’s no harm in trying that Zoe, is there?

Beautiful! I love the SDMB.
