Guess the Simpsons Episode Thead (Continued)

I remember we had this on the temp board. I don’t remember if they all got answered or not, though. So I’ll post a new quote and you guys can try to guess what episode it is. Sorry if anyone’s old quotes from the temp board got left out…

“…He’s Rowdy Roddy Peeper!”
“That man is sick!”

That was referring to Groundskeeper Willie. It’s from the episode where Homer is accused of sexually harassing the baby sitter, but Willie’s video tape clears him.

How about this one-- “It takes two to lie Marge. One to lie and one to listen.”

Oh come on, guys. What happened to the Simpsons love that used to be so characteristic of this board, nay, the world? I’m bumping this baby up.

And I’m afraid I don’t know the episode where that line comes from, but I do know it’s Homer speaking. (But pretty much all of you knew that, right?)

It’s from the Lurlene Lumpkin episode!! Yes! I rule!

Anyways…here’s one for yous:
“That’s the first thing that’s ever gone wrong.”

I don’t have the answer either, but I’ll add another quote to guess:

“Homer is a brutally honest man. Completely tactless and insensitive.”

Too easy! The one where they go to Itchy and Scratchy land. Sorry, don’t know episode titles.

Here’s an attempt at obscurity:

“President-Elect.”

The “tactless” one is from the Mel Gibson/Mr. Smith Goes to Washington Remake episode.

The president elect quote is from the episode where the Indian casino owner shows Bart the future. It’s in reference to Lisa, I think.

How about these:

“Mmm…sacrelicious…”

“Get outta my office!”

“It’s Gloria Vanderbilt, out for revenge!”

(Not necessarily the most obscure, but definitely funny)

That’s from the one where Homer decides that he’s not going to church and points out a waffle on the ceiling of the kitchen, declaring that it’s God. Marge tells him what it really is, prompting the waffle to slide off the ceiling and into Homer’s waiting hands. He takes a bite and utters this immortal line.

I have no quotes. I’m thinking, I’m thinking.

That’s “Matt Groening”–depicted as a bald, angry right-wing, gun-loving crank with one eye–in the ep with Simpson’s out-takes hosted by Troy McClure.

Actually, the “sacrilicious” quote is from the episode where Homer and Ned become good friends. I should know, I lifted the entire scene and put it on a mix tape.

HOMER: God, if you really are God, you’ll get me tickets to that game!
(Knock on door. Homer opens door.)
NED: Hidely-ho, neighbor! Wanna’ go to the game with me? I got two tickets.
(Homer slams door.)
HOMER: Why do you mock me, o Lord?
MARGE: Homer, that’s not God, that’s just a waffle that Bart tossed up there.
(Marge knocks waffle off with broom.)
HOMER: I know I shouldn’t eat thee. . .
(Scarfs waffle down.)
HOMER: Mmmmm. . . sacrilicious.

Anyway, here’s an easy, somewhat related one.
“Sticking together’s what good waffles do.”

That’s from the one where Marge and the neighbor woman, Ruth Powers, go on the lam a la Thelma and Louise.

“Stay above the equator!”

That’s the episode where Bart and Milhouse buy the all-syrup Squishie and go nuts, Broadway style. In his glucose-induced high, Bart ended up joining the Junior Campers, and as a service activity, had to bathe a senior citizen… in this case, Jasper.

Next:
“Ah, the life of a frog… that’s the life for me.”

Bart goes to France in exchange for Adil, the Albanian spyboy.

What about:

“Did you see a scary picture in your picture book?”

Damn. I kinda thought I guessed the episode wrong. Oh well, at least I got the part about waffle-as-God right!

That’s from when Marge becomes a cop. The jeans smugg;ers are in the garage (sorry, “car-hold”) when Marge busts in, said by one of the smugglers.

From the trillion dollar bill ep.
HOMER: Those idiots…I paid my taxes over a year ago!
LISA: Uhh…dad?
HOMER: What is is honey…did you see a scary picture in your picture book?
Here’s a (what I consider to be) a toughie:

“Uter likes Milhouse!”

It’s from when Lisa likes Nelson, and she’s laughing at his outdoor antics in band class, where the class goes on a taunting spree. “No one likes Milhouse!” and the memorable line “Do you find something funny about the word TROMBONER?” grace this episode.

“Let Harvard have its football and its acedemics. Yale will always be first in gentlemanly club life.”

Actually, the taunting in that episode included “Janey likes Millhouse!” but not Uter…I don’t remember where such a line occurred.

I believe the Harvard-Yale quote comes from the ep where Mr. Burns and Smithers are riding in their private train car, and Mr. Burns’s long-lost son (voiced by Rodney Dangerfield) comes over to try and sell souvenirs to the people on the train.

My submission:

“When you think about it, mud is nothing but wet dirt.”

It was there, it just got cut for syndication. Originally, it went like this: (from here)

Sherri: She was looking at Nelson!
     Kids: [taunting] Lisa likes Nelson!
 Milhouse: She does not!
     Kids: [taunting] Milhouse likes Lisa!
    Janey: He does not!
     Kids: [taunting] Janey likes Milhouse!
     Uter: She does not!
     Kids: [taunting] Uter likes Milhouse!
Mr. Largo: Nobody likes Milhouse!

Exactly. That’s why it was kinda hard…because you could only catch the Uter part if you saw the original airing.
