Those orange peanut butter crackers, nothing to drink, and resentment. (I was someplace I didn’t want to be.) For supper we’re reheating three-day-old fish sticks & tater tots & fuck it. (Not enough time to cook.)
Some left over pork tenderloin. I reheated it with some sauteed onions and a slice of bread from a fresh loaf of bread (think you, Bread Machine!)
Yesterday, I simmered a package of bratwurst in sauerkraut & beer with onion for lunches this week.
So I had a brat, a scoop of kraut and half an avocado con jalapenos enteros en escabeche.
Field greens salad with an apple, ham, croutons and ranch dressing.
Campbell’s chicken noodle soup and a small bag of chili cheese Frito’s.
Cream cheese on homemade oatbread and smoked salmon. (I’m visiting my sister, who is a great cook/baker and can afford smoked salmon)
Severely leftover kefta with eggs, on top of leftover macaroni. And an applesauce cup.
Dinner. I go by a “farm schedule” and have my big meal around noon and something light when I get home from work. Noon today was sausage and peppers over noodles.
Vitamin water, bag of pretzels, Belvita biscuit.
This does not bode well for keeping weight on.
I’ve just had mine: a chicken and salad sandwich and an apple.
A quick sandwich of Cajun spice turkey and limburger cheese spread.
Homemade pseudo-borsch (it included some veggies - parsnips and turnips - that I wouldn’t normally put in borsch. Also, no sour cream), with some leftover panisses and an orange. All homemade (except the orange, of course). We try to bring leftover dinner for lunch and/or cook up some soup for lunches (usually it’s something with lentils or beans, but I was in the mood for something different).
Nothin’, same as most days.
quartered brussels sprouts and some kiełbasa wiejska and kiełbasa swojska from the local Polish market.
Home-made hot pepper mozzarella on home-made multi-grain bread plus an orange.
You just reminded me that I didn’t eat lunch or dinner. I think I’m going to make some sausage and pancakes. I have a craving.
Salmon burgers on whole wheat buns. With some dill sauce.
Trader Joe’s vegetable soup with quinoa and kale. Trader Joe’s soups are absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the minestrone.
And a banana.
[hijack] People, times are hard & many of us are very poor. Still… what a picnic/block party we could make!

Salad of romaine and spinach with oil and vinegar dressing. A few slices of marinated flank steak. Two mini Reese peanut butter cups for dessert.
