What did you guys have for lunch today?

Served a big midday dinner to a visiting friend. Olives and bocconcini for appetizers, salad with pine nuts and parmigiano reggiano curls, spaghetti and meatballs. Friend brought tres leches cake for dessert.

I really want a nap now, but I’d better haul my rear to the gym instead.

An orange and three deli slices of tofurkey.

spaghetti and some of my “stewed beef” sauce (which has v8, peas, carrots, and some other veggies in it as well as the beef.)

Oh, plus a banana and an apple for dessert.

An apple and a handful of peanut-butter-pretzel-nuggets

Almonds, dried apricots, and marijuana.

Frozen dinner: marie callendar’s roast chicken. And a big navel orange.

I mixed some leftover taco beef with some leftover beef Rice-A-Roni and topped it with some shredded cheddar cheese. It was awesome.

¼ or ⅓ pound ground beef patty with Johnny’s seasoning salt, with may on wheat bread.

Habanero wings and super potato oles from Taco John’s.

Homemade refried beans and one of those 100-calorie Wholly Guacamole cups, with leftover stale-then-recrisped tortilla chips.

Homemade potato soup and a toasted pita.

Mandarin orange, frozen Chicken Tikka Masala bowl, coconut yogurt, and an Andes mint with a Christmas tree on it.

Mac and Cheese and a handful of Triscuits.

I know the OP didn’t ask for recipes, but would you mind a quick rundown of what’s in your homemade potato soup? I ask because last time I had some it was at a friend’s house and hers was totally creamy, nothing like what I remember as a kid or what I make for myself as an adult, which has chunks of potato. She put bacon in hers too, which was also new to me. Just curious, if you’re wiling to share. Sounds delicious in any case.

ETA my own lunch: a bowl of honey nut cheerios and a blood orange. Water.

A bowl of homemade chicken soup (fighting a cold) and a couple of cuties. (the tangerines, that is lol)

I fried up a mess of revenge yesterday, everybody hated it,but the leftovers were awesome on rye with a little charroux mustard.

It’s made by the woman who runs our canteen. In the winter, a different homemade soup every day. Today’s was potatoes the size of a newborn’s fist, whole milk, chicken broth, butter and a mysterious greek herb. Mmmmm…wonderful.

Sorry, I don’t have the receipe either!

6" Subway BMT with mozzarella cheese, marinara sauce, spinach, and olives. And 1/2 a chocolate chip cookie for dessert.

Turkey on a hamburger bun with mayo and chopped hot peppers. Pretzel chips and a navel orange.

Cheese sandwiches and orange juice.
