What did you think of the film Betty Blue then?

Yes it’s an amazing film with Beatrice Dalle of course with Beatrice Dalle and it’s really good and I have the director’s cut on a DVD and it’s quite long at nearly 3 hours but it’s really good anyone else here agree? Well I liked the bit about the speaking clock and the speaking clock and the bit where the man jumps out of the bin lorry and starts attacking the mattress while the other man gives a phoney explanation for it that a his hand was once ripped off by a mattress and now he hates mattresses and doing the martial arts thing when she’s watching the tv or something and where the pram goes across in front of the truck and what other bits did you like then?

You know they make decaf coffees now that are just as good as the regular stuff.

So, is that OP supposed to be you trying to establish some sort of distinctive prose style, or are you genuinely unaware that you are coming off as incoherent?

This is how he always posts.

Bump. Now but probably not as big a bump as Betty thought she had when she thought she was pregnant but then discovered she wasn’t. Now there does seem to be something very negative about the things she says in the film like “I can’t even afford a train ticket” and “I can’t even have a baby” and things like that and she does of course just seem to spiral out of control and have that long descent into insanity. The film of course has three main sections

  1. At the beach huts near Gruissan or Narbonne
  2. In Paris at the hotel beside The Marne
  3. At the house above the piano shop in Marvejols

Now I do have the director’s cut at nearly 3 hours long but it is really good. However, it is also dubbed in English in an American accent which is a bit odd if they could even have had a British actor or a French actor speaking in English it would have been much better. So any other bits you enjoyed? Anything else to say about the film then?

“I never sleep, I don’t know why. I had a roommate and I drove her nuts, I mean really nuts, they had to take her away in an ambulance and everything. But she’s okay now, but she had to transfer to an easier school, but I don’t know if that had anything to do with being my fault. But listen, if you ever need to talk or you need help studying just let me know, 'cause I’m just a couple doors down from you guys and I never sleep, okay?”

Stranger

Brilliant film. But avoid the Director’s Cut.
