IPA: [isˈtanbuɫ], roughly the same as English. First i is more of a long “ee” sound. The last character is a dark l, so pronounce l like a 4 year old.
Says also: [ɯsˈtambuɫ]. That first character doesn’t really work in English.
In Turkish, it is accented on the second syllable, whose vowel is pronounced like the A in “father”.
